I dropped my iPod touch that I've had for a couple years just a few hours ago. It's barely cracked, but when I press the home button, it just lights up as a screen of grey? Like, it's still able to lock fine, and the home button works, it's just when it's locked and I press the home button, the screen will turn on as blank white or blank gray. Any suggestions???

@noodles3471: haven't tried replacing mine yet but will soon. replacing the screen of your itouch shouldn't affect your songs since you're not replacing the hardware that deals with memory (i.e. your music storage) so you should be fine (you're only replacing the glass :3) And even if it does just make sure to make a save point in itunes with your itouch before you start your repair process. That way when you plug it back in you can just do a restore/sync again.
