I have played 2-5 and origins... i am currently playing the original sh right now.... have i missed any? if anybody knows if i have missed any games in the silent hill series please let me know. I love this game : )

There are a couple of other obscure SH games out there. If i remember right there is a Silent Hill text based graphic adventure for GameboyAdvance. Good luck finding an English text version though. Im told there's also an arcade lightgun shooter, like house of the dead with Silent Hill locations and enemies but again, im not sure if it was released outside Japan. Hope that helps: Arkhan

Its actually not that scary. I use to play this game all alone, and its not so scary, BUT its a very good game with a good story. But if you ask me, silent hill 2 and 3 are much better an scarier. Still This game's allright!

emmm..i mean.. well..u see its the way u interpret that world and environment.. its the way u understand it.. understand the thoughts of the creator, what he ment by any particular scence and etc. for instance psychological horrors are not recognized by all of us, coz we're not all the same and above all.. we all have been through different things in life for example. but if u say zombie or vampire.. u know all those BOO .. KKHHS stuff :D, then it might be seen as scary. not to me by the way :p

I mean it's just so much in this game that destoys the horror, for example, those fucking ghosts that can't be killed, allright, they freaked me out the first time I played the game, but after something like 10 min, they just started to piss me off. And those monsters with two baby heads that you meets in the waterprison, they was scary like hell on the trailer, but in the game.. what a joke. But i agree about what you said, the tought about the enviroment and that, thats true. :)

u mentioned those ghosts! first when i played the game u basically go down the station and all that train doors and and those which dont open while ghosts chase you in a weird way! i just left the game and sat in a corner u know :D feeling down for the whole day lol.. yh it might have less horror effects and all that but psychologically it gets disturbing indeed..

the kinda horror ur talking about could be found in DooM 3 ;) yh that one scared the shit outa me playin without the code though lol

nah, i don't like to play games on Pc, but i played the demo of doom 3, and yeah, it's scary. But have you ever played silent hill2 and 3? They are reeaaly scary. And that psycho horror in the enviroment, thats fucking scary iin the prison in silent hill 2. And the sound effects in silent hill 2 and 3, god, they made me sooo fucking scared, and in sh3, god, at a moment i nearly screamed XD Had to take a smoke to calm down XD But sh4, its a good game, but the worst in the sh serie. ill giv it 3/5

hahah :p... thats funny.. im actually a big fan of silent hill! i mean i just love the whole idea! yh i played sh1,2 but not 3 yet.. coz by the time 3 came my laptop was already a piece of antique lol.. but i managed to finish the room on a giant desktop :D..

what i love in "the room" version is Walter Sullivan's role in the whole story.. apart from its horror i just have a big respect to his thoughts and efforts towards his mom :D..

this means if i was a kid i'd say my hero is walter sullivan
