I wouldn't necessarily say new and not even expensive for that matter but make sure you have at least a 1GB of memory if not 2 or your computer. Because not only will you want to run FL 8 but possibly Pro Tools and maybe even Reason. So you would want your computer to be good enough to handle these type of programs simultaneously. Normally you would always be able to upgrade your computer if needed or you could just build you one and make it the way you want...possibly for a little cheaper.

all u need to do is have the pattern where the melody is going to and the press RECORD ( wich is next 2 stop and play) and thenpress PLAY and then it will automaticly start recording once the first note is sounds. and it will record it and leave it in piano roll where later u can fixt it or delete it. to record over it do the same things.
