As far as laptops go, they are always crap, but considering the price, Compaq laptops are the least crap. I told my mom to buy one just because the keyboard, which you mostly interact with when using a computer, is superior to anything in its price range. I tested plenty, they all sucked hard. This one was decent.

I hate Vista. The only way for it to actually run good is for it to be in a very expensive machine. The os is so bad I saw a net book on display with vista on it and it BSOD'd. I've bsod'd so many times that it doesn't fase me. But HP and compaq those things are the best computers built. I've been on HPs and compaqs my whole life! I really think that Microsoft rushed a project out on to the market that they knew that it would take years of programming and testing before it was ready.

In august 08 i got A Compaw C770 US, My acer died, acer was pretty good, accept it just died out of nowhere, The only thing i nothiced about my Compaq is that the battery life is horrible, so i got a 12-cell battery to replace my 6 cell, since I need to take it on the go with me a lot, when i take it over my freinds so we can keep making our series of animation
