2 members of my family are gay. 1 of them has died of aids. i love and respect them , however i should not be forced to accept their lifestyle. i believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman and i am going to vote accordingly with my own beliefs. I have seen much hatred coming from the "No on 8" people and that only strengthens me to vote yes on 8. my father and i are of diffrent spiritual beliefs and both have had our signs stolen from our yards. its like throwing fuel on a fire

My signs were stolen as well. I'm putting several signs up on Tues Nov 4. I'm really hoping that the bitter defeat will make them steal the signs on Wednesday, because I'm going to have a lot of signs out, so many that I'm hoping that I'll have their help taking them down!

I wonder why you all think that the separation of church and state is just a suggestion. Do you think they put it in the constitution for no reason? Or are you constitution-shredding enthusiasts like the Right Wing in this country? Gay people getting married has NOTHING to do with you. My only regret for not living in CA is that I can't vote yes on Prop. 8. Kudos to all those doing all they can to support this proposition! I never realized the importance of something like this until I had my own child, and am now fighting for my family. Support Prop. 8!

It's not about hate or bigotry.Just like the couple in the no on 8 commercial, I love the gay members of my family just the same and would never want them denied any rights or happiness.However,without Prop 8 the door is opened for all kinds of things to happen,just like they have in Mass.which clearly violate the separation of church and state.Not to mention this issue has already been voted on by the citizens,and no judge has the right to change the outcome without a new vote,which we now have
