To be honest it seems a bit strange how even a big guy like that didnt even cry out when he shot his foot. It may have been a deliberate way of making a point about how dangerous guns are. (the lack of pain / people reacting would say blanks and it was planned)
or it could just be a accidental disharge and he took advantage of the situation.

Guns and drugs can both be used irresponsibly. Gov in America protects drugs from her people. A child can shoot another child. A child can abuse alcohol and get in a car and kill someone. The question is... Should guns and alcohol be banned? What about all drugs? A gun killed Martin Luther King Jr. and Kennedy (both of them). How man hits happen from alcohol abuse and driving?
