Climate change is a naturally occuring cycle that dates back to the formation of the planet. Nobody disputes that. What IS in dispute are the following:

1) Is the earth actually warming at the rate which the obviously flawed models suggest?

2) Is carbon dioxide the central contributor to that warming... or is it the ever fluctuating electromagnetic field of the sun, among several other factors...?

3) What PROVEN relationship is there between environmental disasters and global warming?

If the science is "settled" then why do the emails and data released by the whistle blower prove that these "peer-reviewed" scientists minimized the temperature spike in the 1940s - in order to make there case? I think being a denier is just a good excuse for not taking meaningful action to combat the possible negative effects of climate change. I'm not a catastrophist, but I am willing to admit that maybe the results won't be pretty, especially for the Third World. They will suffer b/c we polluted the environment too much. You can't honestly say that a bunch of hacked emails at one scientific organization, out of hundreds or thousands of them that have concluded that global warming is real, means "case closed." I think this is just confirmation bias by the deniers!  I'm not a skeptic or a proponent b/c I don't know. But if you wiki Climategate, you'll see that it's far from decided that a bunch of scientists at the CRU 'cooked the books.' Some of these quotes seem to have been taken out of context, and already the wiki folks have amassed tons of data and info about that.
