I have maded an autosave function in a form that save automatically to a folder without select location. (Without the "Save window") But how do I open the .txt file in a another form automatically when the new form shows up? (Also without the "Load window") :D
This is great but what if I had many text boxes and wanted to save and load the information? Short from having a whole text file for every single text box.
so how can I open the file for LISTVIEW, that code works for SAVE but not for OPEN, when i write the code "listView = reader.ReadToEnd" it shows me an error (reader.ReadToEnd -> value of type 'String' can not be converted to 'sys.win.form....),
In the listview are written both Text and numbers.. :S
@reconrey1292 ... You write the text in the TextBox then you SAVE or OPEN, but instead of the TextBox i have a ListView and in the ListView are included ex: ID, Name, Surname, age, Salary. And when I SAVE it works but when I write the code to OPEN the ListView -> "listView = reader.ReadToEnd" it shows me an error (reader.ReadToEnd -> value of type 'String' can not be converted to 'sys.win.form....)...hope u get what i mean :)
@altr1m i know your comment is a year old but in case this happens to anyone else, you have to make sure in the openfiledialog that you are Dim reader As New IO.StreamReader..etc. you probably encountered the issue you did because you wrote writer again instead of reader.
