Thanks a ton for the video, i just got hired to do a vector based job, similar to this, but i HAVE NOOOOO UNDERSTANDING OF Illustrator, i got the job on one of my illustrations, they want me to turn the drawing into a vector etc. I took the job hoping to learn vector through a video like this. The commision is set to 35$ per hour, you saved my life bro. Hi five. Looks like i wont need to take that extra vector class after all.
i think its a bit cheap to just overdraw the outlines and then take the exact same colors to fill it. the only actual artistic work u invested in this pieces was the last part even though u also took the colors orm the original. in the end it looks beautiful but neither was it done in an artistic process nor do i consider this as art. sorry mate ...
This is a Tutorial, it has to be easy to follow. I tryed to make it so easy as possible. Secondly the outlines are made with Adobe Illustrator. You cant just draw will illustrator like in photoshop. If you miss a Drawing of freehand then just check my Lamborghini Reventon, but this is illustrator and Reventon is Photoshop.
@ithinkadobe ... I think you are the one who should learn a bit of illustrator... You can get the same gradients in AI than PS... and of course that one is vector and another pixels... thats why is better get them in AI... AND THATS WHY I DONT GET WHŸ THIS GUY RESOLVE THE GRADIENTS IN PS... but you can still thinking the same way... is not my problem, is yours...
@bestskater94 i cant read anywhere he types this is an artistic work... he is making a vector from a bitmap image, and the best way to get a similar result is getting the color samples from the original... and is not easy as it looks, and for EminAyaz, if this is an Illustrator Tutorial i dont see why you used photoshop to get the gradations, that you can get it from the same illustrator.
@ithinkadobe i acknoledge it takes skill and it may be good for practice. but your examples are total nonsense: sketching and then overpainting is not the same as taking a picture and tracing ??? and why do you overreact like that? i was just stating that tracing is not art, but did not criticize what eminayaz is doing. im a big fan and i wish i could draw like him ...
@bestskater94 You missed the point, If you were making money doing hi vector work you would understand its high demand. imagine this, with the "jpeg" version of a car to be 10ft tall, printed, youd see massive pixilation, n the file size will be about 2 gigs, With vector, itll be about 5 mb, and u can blow it up to fit the size of a building, or shrink it down 2 a logo and never lose detail. Vector isnt as much about creating art,as it is conversion tool. 2 save time, computing memory,n money.
I had one small question, if i use photoshop to gradient the file, one that raise the size of the file? do i have to put it back into illustrator? Cause im trying to save it as a vector file. Can i do that on photoshop?
@bestskater94 That is a VECTOR program ! It creates photo realistic images from SHAPES ! There isn't any "artistic" work to do about that, only have a common sence of drawing and putting shapes together as well as doing gradients and shading ... But you're 17... you'll learn
thank god some1 using windows while teaching adobe product.......

wow it's so realistic,
but i think this type of painting isn't that hard (if you have a lot of time) .
the hard part i think is the portrait of a person or anything else where you must start sketching all by your self from the beginning.
but that's just my opinion i think you did a good job and thanx very much for the tutorial it's helpfull !

i understand this has to be easy to redo. just saying that this isnt a real painting, just tracing and coloring
bestskater94 2 years ago
@EminAyaZ if this is an Illustrator Tutorial i dont see why you used photoshop to get the gradations, that you can get it from the same illustrator.
