  • Aww, I love those trippy commercials... :D The design on this one really reminds of Yellow Submarine...

I miss all the zest for life and happiness in commercials...

My friend Fade calls me Nancy Fancy... xD

  • MIRANDAAAAAAA !!!!!!!

  • People forget how trippy the 60's and 70's were

  • wow I never thought I'd see this again. I have original cells and backgrounds from this production

  • @phillipeinfeld You lucky lucky lucky... so and so! You have any idea how valuable those things are? You've got some of Australia's iconic treasures there, my friend. If ever you want to get rid of them, give me a buzz.

  • What I find so remarkable about this advert is how long it is at more than 2 minutes! Anne Lambert is virtually unrecognizable, but the wig she's wearing doesn't help! Whoever made this was animation was obviously heavily influenced by "Yellow Submarine".

  • was it 'No. 96' or 'The Box' that Anne got her gear off in?

  • It was The Box.... Lambert joined the show playing the sexy and promiscuous Trish Freeman in 1976.

  • Look how where the comercials of fanta then and look now....even look the fanta its self ... XD :D

  • You would not believe how long I have looked for this exact advert. All I could remember about from when I was a teenager back in the 70's was the lyric portion "and we jumped on the fairy's blue canary and flew a long long way to tipperary" I never forgot those words - boy what a buzz. It was played here in New Zealand and sounds Australian to me. I am uncertain if I remember it from TV or Radio - maybe both. Thanks so much for uploading it.

  • What.. The... FUDGE.

  • When WWII broke out, the owner of the German subsidiary of Coca Cola convinced the Reich that has bottler was a independent GERMAN owned company (and not just a part of the US corporation), which not saved it from getting seized, but allowed it to get the sugar it needed (in spite of rationing) and it created the Fanta series of flavors.

    LOL! Fanta = Nazi Soda!

  • Who gives a damn it still beats the rest !! lol

  • Ha! I love how the commercial starts out relatively normal and then spirals out of control! Very trippy, but that's what makes it awesome!

  • They must be coating the rims of those Fanta bottlenecks with LSD

  • Portrait of that Decade Somehow

  • better than sadie...

  • boy was that wild.

  • What does Fancy Nancy have to do with Fanta?

The animation is "Beatles Yellow Submarine" movie-like.

  • Dick Head. Winner of "State The Obvious"

  • Johnny Farnham is singing this commercial

  • awsome video love it, where do you get all these excellent commercials

  • Going back many years ago!!!

  • Yep, that's the one, but I'm sure it was a shortened version of this that was mostly shown on tv at the time. Someone put a lot of effort and time into this commercial to make this enjoyable and memorable.

  • We'll jump on Mary the Fairies Blue Canary

Go a long long way to Tiperary

Tell the planter? man to make some Fanta.

  • I don't know what to say, I remember the original being all animated but it is so long ago and I was just a wee child. Did not know that Nancy was played by Anne Lambert. Very Beatlesque isn't it? Do you have the full animated version. Thanks so much Sweetie.
