This is damn live, yes you might have realized some sort of background vocals going on but that´s why they´re there, to sING.

When she sing live, her voice is raspy and scratchy, she uses the original track to cover the notes that she feels she cant reach or is too much for her. You can definatly notice the difference when she lip syncs and sings live. I m a mariah carey myself, but u just half to face it.

You can hear her vocals blend into a backing track and the sound techs did a poor job trying to hide it. Doesn't matter though since it's still her voice. And the funny thing is after 20 years, she is still hitting them high notes, even sometimes better than before! (see "Fly Like A Bird" and "I Stay In Love" and "Angels Cry" live).
Not a bad performance, but I can definitely here that her voice changed fro here on! I think everybody goes through these kinds of experiences. it is just how one deals with that though. Of course all of it was live! She always struggles with the lower to mid notes, even now. If any of it was recorded don't you think that those notes, the notes that she struggled with would have been recorded. STUPID really. And the chances of playing some random note in the middle of the song at JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT is far to risky and would never be done.
actually there is a backing track she is singing to at the end..but her mic is still on and audible..lipping to a pre recorded track is when you dont hear the artist AT ALL..but if you listen you can hear her singing with the track at the end
she must have been having a bad day (voice-wise) that day. her live singing in this performance (not all of it was live) is like her studio singing voice now - more gravelly and not as elastic. it's a shame that her voice is deteriorating but i guess she uses it all the time and she's not as young as she once was.

Her nodules are smaller as of now. They get worse when she sings, and better when she does. Her latest performance proves that her voice is pretty clear nowadays. That may change if she goes on tour.

nice this, voice sounds more throaty and raspy but it;s cool n funky. i love mariah, she's been on UK TV on almost every show this past 2 weeks, working her butt off on a punishing promo tour of Europe. She's done some amazing live performances of "I want to know..." Her voice is back to being clear, smooth, strong and she hits the whistle register live live live!!! fabulous

Of course all of it was live! She always struggles with the lower to mid notes, even now. If any of it was recorded don't you think that those notes, the notes that she struggled with would have been recorded. STUPID really. And the chances of playing some random note in the middle of the song at JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT is far to risky and would never be done.

actually there is a backing track she is singing to at the end..but her mic is still on and audible..lipping to a pre recorded track is when you dont hear the artist AT ALL..but if you listen you can hear her singing with the track at the end

she must have been having a bad day (voice-wise) that day. her live singing in this performance (not all of it was live) is like her studio singing voice now - more gravelly and not as elastic. it's a shame that her voice is deteriorating but i guess she uses it all the time and she's not as young as she once was.

at 2:49m you can actually hear both voice at the same time...this is when she start to sing live again...the high part at the end was lip...im a huge fan to!!

she made a quite of few mistakes! and i loved every moment of it.......cuz now i appreciate her beautiful voice even more...because she has some crazy riffs and tone and high points in this version.....she should neva lip....because perfection is good but raw can be amazing

But she did lip on that one....the first chorus if you listen closely some part are lip everytime she goes in her falsetto its lip...and the last high note its lip to you can hear like i said at 2:49min 2 voice at the same time...when she start to sing live again and when they cut the backing track..

at the end shes not actually lipping..lipping is when YOU CANT HEAR THE ARTIST LIVE AT ALL..but througout the whole song her mic was clearly on, she was singing WITH the track

You hear some of the cracks! what's wrong with you people? Before her module situation got worse, there wouldnt have been even one crack!and everyone woulda stayed quiet.Shes had amazing LIVE performances even during the past 3 years.one of them being one of her best!.So just cuz she has the nodules, doesnt mean, she still cant sing her @@s off..She has to strain more to do it and sometimes it's not flawless,but she still can!

They eventually may paralyze her voice completely. she can get surgery or just rest to let them shrink a little bit. Age makes them a lot worse, u can hear it in her voice

Her nodules are smaller as of now. They get worse when she sings, and better when she does. Her latest performance proves that her voice is pretty clear nowadays. That may change if she goes on tour.

What?(Charice or any other) replacing Mariah? NEVER EVER! Lets get this straight. No one as big as Mariah can get 'replaced'. Sure, years go by & new talent/singers come & go.Great singers, like Aretha, whitney, Barbara S, Celion, Mariah, etc are lengendary & dont get replaced like U would replace a car, toy, etc. THese unique artists have earned their fame. Singers that come after them, if good/unique enough, will leave their mark. Not replace. It's ignorant to say they can get replaced.
