I have a completely different method of hurting hurting him in his first form. First I slash away like there's no tomorrow. And second I lock onto him from above to do a really cool fatal blow. (Oh and zeldauniverse, you don't have to jab him you can just hit him anyway when you are going to knock him over)

Fi. Here name is Fi. It can be prounounced Fi of Phi, but it's spelled Fi. Girahim is like an evil black male version of Fi. Demise's Sword, as Fi is your sword.

I didn't know you can hit his sword beams back! I just shield bashed his sword swipe and then attacked! You can also shield bash his larger sword too.

God, the game is a freaking genius, two ways to kill a boss...

@Rinku588 I did exactly the same as you, I abused the invincibility of the Hylian Shield like a bitch. I went through the entire second phase without him shooting a single sword beam as I stayed in close ranged combat. Seeing this video and I'm like wtf there were sword beams in this phase :P

in de second phase of Ghirahim's boss battle you can also hit his sword, and it will dissapear

en afterwards you can stab him. that's what I did.

The second phase of the Ghirahim I prefer to use shield bash and then stab him rather than reflecting his energy. :P

@h1psterlink same with the last fight with Ganondorf in Twilight Princess, except replace the Bug Net, with the fishing pole, he isn't afraid of it, but if you cast it during the final battle with him, if you look closely at his head he will look in the direction of where the lure is.

Ghirahim is one of the best Zelda villains! Him being the human representation of Demise's sword really explains why he like bloodshed. Ghirahim is definitely in the top five Zelda villains with

1. Ganondorf/Demise

2. Ghirahim

3. Vaati

4. Majora

5. Veran

Ghirahim NEEDS to be in Super Smash Bros. 4! If Sakurai doesn't change Ganondorf's movest, I'd rather Ghirahim be in the game!

once agaij great job mases... i had some trouble with this boss because i didnt know some things including that you must wait to hit the beams back at Ghiraham.........however...you can also stab him in the heart from one floor to another in the first phase

I agree with Anthony62013.....I used the method I used for the following fight.......bash him with sword slashes to get him to attack you, then shield block his attack and then go in for the kill. As for the diamonds coming at you....I just side jumped when they came to me, going in a circular pattern...you never get hit that way.......but if you have the time and patience, the way you showed works. I maybe just impatient.

@tigermander You are correct. Fi in reference to Link is an analogy to Ghirahim being the sword spirit of the Anti-Master Sword (or Dark Sword). Such as how when Fi calls Link her master, Ghirahim calls Demise his master. There are many similarities and comparisons between the two. It is possible to research information on other similarities.

@tigermander If I'm not mistaken Fi and Ghirahim are of the same origins, species or something, as seen in the last battle with Ghirahim he takes on an appearance very close to Fi's and even becomes a sword, an anti-Master Sword. It's never directly said but only heavily implied so.

If anyone were to be putting together a Wind Waker guide soon, I think it would be Mases, hey, when he was in the Sandship, Chapter 10 I think, he had all but two chapters, or 6 videos, left to put the audio commentary in.

can't believe you didn't do the downward thrust on Ghirahim from the higher platform, thats the whole satisfying part of it.

Also a tip, you can hit the sword beams from Ghirahim more precisely if you just watch the beam's shadow instead of the beam.
