Beautiful tribute to a legend. Sang from the heart too. John would have been smiling if he could hear this.. Noticed the hate comment above. Its hard to understand sometimes why people say the things they say. You put out a video from your heart and sing a song to perfection and it disturbs me to see comments like that.. I appreciate the time you put into this video..
Larry.....Just like John's music has and will always have a place in so many people's lives (musicians and fans), You AND your sweet music have a permanent place with me.....Just like his sweet song states, in MY LIFE, there is no one who compares to you.....Your friendship and music i wouldn't trade for anything....You do these songs so damn well......ione marie
Man you are some extraordinary individual. You guitar playing and your voice is sung right from your heart. I just wish I could hear you play and sing all day long. Great stuff my friend. You should be in the musical hall of fame. What's your name by the way?
the shooting ended john's earthly life, but his musical creations live on and inspire us still - those of us left behind, and even those who hadn't arrived yet. when you think about it, music is a miracle.
im 14 so he died before i was born but i know that the beatles were the best band ever made and imagine was the best song ever made and i gives me tears because i wish he was still alive coz he would make amazing music today :)
why are you calling it assasinated john lennon was not he was killed by a everyday guy who turned out to be a complete sick twisted fuck. he was not murdered by an assasin or by the goverment when will you people understand this
@marycockburn1 I suggest you look up the definition of the word 'assassin'. It means the murder of (usually) a prominent person by sudden or secret attack. It does not mean the person was hired by or the agent of a government. Sorry to interrupt you as you go through my videos today leaving picky comments. But get it straight.. John Lennon was assassinated. Although Chapman is certainly sick and twisted, he is also the assassin of John Lennon
@marycockburn1 john's case was not totally a case closed...john was a member of american advocates against vietnam war..conspiracy theory still the question...
GREAT TRIBUTE BROTHER!!@....EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS TRUE,,JOHN LENNON HAD THE GUTS TO "IMAGINE" AND OUR WORLD IS NOT ONLY MORE "IMAGINATIVE" ARTISTICALLY, BUT BETTER BECAUSE OF HIS COURAGE TO SHARE HIS TALENT TO THE FULLEST....
Very nice job, sadly it is a job you never should have had to do. I was only 10 in 1980 so I remember this mostly from the way it effected my family members. I later became a Beatles fan, in part because of discovering who John was after he died. Thanks for doing this tribute and thanks for posting it to share with all of us.
BTW I think that Gibson has the most beautiful sound of any guitar I've ever heard. You couldn't have picked a better guitar from your collection to use for this tribute.
Thank you Larry. I'm sure many of us remember where we were and how we felt when the news came. I was partying with a group in an apartment that my buddy had painted a life size portrait of Jim Morrison..kinda weird...He swore he would do Lennon next. We dug out all our Beatles albumn and cassettes and the whole dorm was out in the halls talking, crying and praying. Then the news came that he was dead. We took copious amounts of drugs and stayed up all night mourning. He is greatly missed.
It's incredibly difficult to believe it's been 30 years. I was laying in bed about to drift off to sleep when the DJ interrupted the song to tell the news. I shed more than a few tears over the next days.
Cool Larry, I was only Ten then, But I remember it vividly, I was watching cartoons on tv, And of course it was breaking news, I was pissed, because it interupted my Show. I later learned of What an amazing Guy he was, and of course have since changed my view... Well done man, Love your vids, and Guitar collection..
Larry.....What an incredibly heartfelt and touching tribute to a remarkable individual..it brought tears to my eyes....its hard to believe that its been that long since the world lost him.....These songs are the perfect example of how powerful he was and will always be...Can see the respect and love you have for what he has brought to you and so many..This is one of the strongest examples of what brings us to you and keeps us here with you always....GOD bless you, my friend..ione marie
