I saw this movie for the first time today and loved it!! Iam hetrosexual and have a family of my own but I found myself agreeing with alot of what was said in this movie. Homosexuality isn't a crime, no more than being a hetrosexual is I couldn't imagine a life where everytime I walked down the street with my boyfriend I recieved horrible comments because Iam straight .. doesn't happen does it so why should it happen the other way around ?

I believe that this choice is taken over a period of time known as puberty. In this stage we discover our sexual self and make a choice.
And what would influence you to make the choice? How would children brought up in the most conservative, closed minded families become homosexual? It's certainly happened before. Also, the signs of homosexuality occur much before the age of 8.
@Ishcoa You mistake homosexuality with feminism. Those signs are not 'homosexuality' signs, it is just the childs character which evolves according to the influences around him. If you think about these conservative families, children/teens feel that inner 'rebel' in them. All children/teens go through that stage. When you practically do the opposite of what your superiors want, so that you feel in control and free. That's my theory. There is no proof to any reason about homosexuality.
Alright then, I'm sure that young children are just being "feminists" and teens are just being "rebels". If you're saying all of this because of what God is supposedly saying, I believe that God made everybody equal, and has a reason for everybody to be themselves.

When you were 1 to 8 years old, you never got an erection, or looked at a hot woman and felt aroused. Now i'm saying that you don't "turn" gay, but you make a choice. I believe that this choice is taken over a period of time known as puberty. In this stage we discover our sexual self and make a choice.

@Ishcoa You mistake homosexuality with feminism. Those signs are not 'homosexuality' signs, it is just the childs character which evolves according to the influences around him. If you think about these conservative families, children/teens feel that inner 'rebel' in them. All children/teens go through that stage. When you practically do the opposite of what your superiors want, so that you feel in control and free. That's my theory. There is no proof to any reason about homosexuality.

But if you take the big bang theory, earth, evolution and all that, the probability that all of that is coincidence is all the atoms in the earth, to one single atom. @lolizmu I believe that the issue isn't "Is there a God"...as you say, there is no proof that suggests that there is not a spiritual being of some kind. The issue is over dogma, in particular a dogma which states that homosexuality is essentially wrong. Just to add my two cents :)

@volikoto Incorrect. Marriage was considered a secular institution until the Catholic made it a sacrament in the 6th century AD. Yeah, up until Jesus and for 500 years after he died, marriage wasn't religious. Before you go around educating others, perhaps you should educate yourself? And how can you speak for God like that, telling us what he likes and what he hates? I believe there's a passage in the Bible warning you against that, is there not?
