Blatant Lie #6,497: At 2:15 - 2: 18 "The average income... the average family income of a minimum wage worker today is $50,000."
The average annual income for a minimum wage worker today is approximately $15,000. Even with two-people in the family working full-time, at minimum wage, the combined family income is only $30,000.
When this guy talks about exposing lies and deceptions, he needs to be holding up a mirror as he says it.
That's actually a combination of one group with another. XD
They are actually substituting a GDP number (which is not even that high in the US) to try to compare it to the minimum wage workers. Really, if the average wage that minimum wage workers earn is 50,000, then the GDP would have to be around 100,000 because minimum wage is really low.
Very nice. Contrast this interview with the one last night (10.07.2010) with Art Robinson, which went completely off the rails, and it was because of Robinson, not Maddow.
Personally I thought that was fascinating-- both Berman's responses and Maddow's probing. I have my own issues about Berman, but I thought BOTH he and Maddow came off well in this exchange.
Rachel is a ph grad persuing her doctorate. People like that dont do a "hatchet job" they investigate, and they are never be "comical" either no matter how hard they try.

Um...somebody seems unaware that Rachel Maddow is a Rhodes scholar and has a doctorate (and not in sports).

Berman's going to keel over one day from a heart attack anyway... He's obviously consuming this crap he advocates.

@TsukiGeek You're kidding, right? This guy is a snake! The fact that she isn't screaming at him is only a testament to her calmness.

Excellent job Rick. Where Maddow intended to do a hatchet job on you your method of elevating the conversation beyond her comprehension was brilliant.
She fidgeted, remained on the defensive, and proved once again that she really should be doing sport along with her mentor Olbermann.
She's actually quite comical...attempting to be a bonafide journalist!
Great job Rick...keep up the exceptional work.
