I need some help! I installed SM32Xtest in windows 7. I inserted the pen drive, pushed "scan USB", marked and pushed "Start". The messenger? FAIL! Now this pen drive is not recognized on my Macbook Air either in a windows computer. Please, help me and sorry for my poor english. I`m from Brazil! Thanks!

Thanks this is amazing! :) but i have a simple question, why should i format/partition it? i never understood everything about this and WITHOUT formatting it i tried to move files in between a mac and a windows pc and it worked, so whats the point? thanks! :D oh and if i do format it which sohould i choose so that i can continue to do so inbetween OSes? (im in college and have a macbook obviously, but they have old pcs that i will need to transfer files in between)

@iVilliain Format determines what the machine can read or write to. Mac uses HFS or a hierarchy file system but it can read NTFS which is what windows runs on. If you want to be able to have full use on both then format it for ms-dos on the mac or as fat on the pc... when this tool is done it does format the drive as fat. but keep in mind the restrictions that each file system imposes. I'm sure that you can find info on that on the Internet... Good luck...

@Shawnmyers13 I'm sorry about that but this guide was really only tested on the MBA drive. Apple may have changed things in the recovery drive... As always this is one of those do at your own risk things.

i tried this a few months ago when i found this program. i did it but when i plugged it into my mac it showed for about 30 sec then disappeared. OS X wont recognize it at all now. Windows sees its a mass storage device but when i click it, it says please insert drive into disk f. the program to unlock it says fail.Bad block over setting.

do you know how to fix this or an i out of luck.
