it's so true though, if you retro-fit a modern high-pressure turbine supercharger to an engine unfit for it they WILL overheat easily, and by overheat I mean ruining your piston rings, head gaskets, etc.
Don't diss turbos, supras go over 1400bhp with bigger turbos, and his mod is shit, to get more boost you need to adjust the waste gate, get a bigger intercooler, maybe a new bov, better cams also work, he's just creating more air going through the waste gate. And supras have gone over 400kmph/250mph, running stock engine block and a huge single turbo running heaps of boost, then again, I would like to see two massive singles on a murchilago (cant spell) prolly up to 2500hp.
@2idiotguys Really, you can tune the Murcielago's engine for 800bhp naturally aspirated and that's plenty. With turbos you encounter lag, increased backpressure, altered sound sometimes desireable but on a Murcie, definately not and the engine will not rev as freely. Don't piss about with Murcielagos, they're fine as they are.

You can make any car faster than any car at the end of the day, it just comes down to how much money you want to spend. There's numerous videos of shitbox honda civics with wrecking ferraris and other "supercars" for 1/16 of the price. Yea, at the end of the day it's still a Honda, but that doesn't mean it can't be fast. This example can be used with just about any car.
everytime you modify a car you must consider a wide varieties of modifications besides just slapping a turbo the cause of going 200mph means forged bottom end high grade parts for valve train taking apart transmission getting it cryotempered racing clutch is a must, an aftermarket rear-end a aerodynamic body kit (not a $400 crap off ebay), suspension and tires must be upgraded and last but not least body must be stiffened up and welded thoroughly so its not just hold up by factory spot welds
A Civic with a twin turbo V6 that does a 10 second quarter mile is not a tuned car, its a fucking engine swap. You cannot "tune" a regular $15,000 car to stage 3 and have it go faster than a high end super car, youd have to swap half the car with parts from a faster car.
not really supras, the 2jz was probably one of the best engines ever produced, as an inline 6, ive seen some handle up to 40+ PSI, now take a look at the 420A or 4G63 engines from mitsubishi (GST and GSX eclipse engines) which can only handle like 8 PSI max on stock internals
The problem with tuning up the sport compacts, is there is always the point where if you want to keep getting more power, you have to put in ridiculous amounts of work and/or money, just for small gains. I'm all for people working on any car. If you have a passion for it, you shouldn't be limited to what you drive. Just have to be aware of what you're driving, and aim for a goal that can be reached. Most important thing is that you enjoy driving it

and theres also the exhaust, ecu, air filter and such
but dont do any of that bodykit shit if you want downforce, put a splitter and a inconspicuous spoiler
not only are they worse in a straight line, but through the corners they are gonna Understeer and wobble so badly. All you ever do is make it worse, more torque-steer, worse Mpg, Lighter wallet.

You can make any car faster than any car at the end of the day, it just comes down to how much money you want to spend. There's numerous videos of shitbox honda civics with wrecking ferraris and other "supercars" for 1/16 of the price. Yea, at the end of the day it's still a Honda, but that doesn't mean it can't be fast. This example can be used with just about any car.

everytime you modify a car you must consider a wide varieties of modifications besides just slapping a turbo the cause of going 200mph means forged bottom end high grade parts for valve train taking apart transmission getting it cryotempered racing clutch is a must, an aftermarket rear-end a aerodynamic body kit (not a $400 crap off ebay), suspension and tires must be upgraded and last but not least body must be stiffened up and welded thoroughly so its not just hold up by factory spot welds

A Civic with a twin turbo V6 that does a 10 second quarter mile is not a tuned car, its a fucking engine swap. You cannot "tune" a regular $15,000 car to stage 3 and have it go faster than a high end super car, youd have to swap half the car with parts from a faster car.

not really supras, the 2jz was probably one of the best engines ever produced, as an inline 6, ive seen some handle up to 40+ PSI, now take a look at the 420A or 4G63 engines from mitsubishi (GST and GSX eclipse engines) which can only handle like 8 PSI max on stock internals

The problem with tuning up the sport compacts, is there is always the point where if you want to keep getting more power, you have to put in ridiculous amounts of work and/or money, just for small gains. I'm all for people working on any car. If you have a passion for it, you shouldn't be limited to what you drive. Just have to be aware of what you're driving, and aim for a goal that can be reached. Most important thing is that you enjoy driving it

you can get ALOT of power out of well any car but if you want to do it properly, start from the bottom
crankshaft,oil pump, pistons,camshaft, heads, injectors/carburetor, plugs, distributor, then forced induction, and nitrous if you want just be sure to use a wet kit and get your n2o/fuel mix right and start with the smallest jets
and theres also the exhaust, ecu, air filter and such
but dont do any of that bodykit shit if you want downforce, put a splitter and a inconspicuous spoiler
