@syed097 I would renew N360 4.0. Kaspersky has been known to cause a lot of slow downs while browsing the internet. Pc Tools Anti Virus is good, but it also causes a bog down in performance. Personally, I would go with N360 4.0 or NIS 2010.

It's not a antivirus, you idiot. It's an antispyware software!! You should have an antivirus AND Malwarebytes. Eset Smart Security or Eset Nod32 are 2 antivirus programs that is recommended.

I've been using 2009 and upgraded to 2010, it's been very reliable.  I think this video is actually demonstrating a worst case scenario type thing, trying to remove a trojan already in place. My anal self usually re-installs the OS then some av software and warn them about doing that again.

I don't know what you did, but my installing and updating process did not take more than 6 minutes.

It updated itself automatically in 2 minutes. Then a restart was required.

Your process seems to be strange.

BitDefender is just like a clone of Kaspersky....just look at bitdefender's user interface..its just like kaspersky.. but anyway, i use avast! 4.8..

I can't commend on Bitdefender as I haven't used it, but both Kaspersky and Avira are good. I've been using Avira for two years now but I am changing to Kaspersky because the webguard in Avira is seriously slowly all my downloads down and I can get 3 Kaspersky AntiVirus 2009 OEM user licences for just £10 here in the UK, which is very cheap.
