@whatsabear Not so much. I must admit, MCR has promoted some of that straight guy-experminatation, but its more bands like Hawthorne Heights that really took the fad to a whole new level. The whole straightened hair, nail polish and look that says "I LIVE AT HOT TOPIC!" kind of came from the whole generation of pop-punk or just plain pop bands pretending to be emo. MCR is much better quality then those shitty bands. Also, I believe what we see today came from the whole Twilight fad.
