  • fucken drugs>>Why cant you people wake up and stop showing off at parties!!!

  • It's 2010 and I have just now found out that one of my former figure skating idols has died. Very tragic indeed. He was a great athlete and always a joy to watch.

  • @deeprose4 You are ahead of me...I just found out today when watching a video of this magnificent man. So incredibly sad and a true loss. For those who suffer from bi-polar it seems like no matter how great life is and how truly loved you are it doesn't penetrate to those aching places deep inside. Skate with the stars and let the angels carry you to the top of the podium. I hope the peace that eluded you in life embraces you in death. Thanks for sharing yourself Bowman the Showman!

  • @getrealandsee Very thoughtful and very well said. I was like yourself, looking at another video of him skating and seeing comments about his death, and was absolutely in shock. Very sad that he will no longer be able to excite the world with his brilliant skating.

  • @deeprose4 Thank you:) It really is sad that he can't excite us in person but great that youtube will keep him alive for us forever, I hope. Best wishes to you and yours!!

  • @getrealandsee Thank you, and to you as well.

  • It think that it is ironic that also on January 10, 2008, the World Figure Skating Museum and Hall of Fame announced that Paul Wylie, Christopher Bowman's skating contemporary and sometimes competitor, would be inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame on January 25, 2008.

  • another victim of the drug game...it has taken so many...

  • A talented but torured genius....

  • he was awesome.. charisma.. personality.. and entertained millions of people and no one can ever take that away.

  • no it's not...the man you're talking about is Chris Benoit, not Bowman

  • I think Christopher Bowman got very depressed because of his weight gain - I read somewhere he was close if not 300 lbs? Now like I said this could be wrong but I know this would certainly be a depressing thing since once upon atime you were a sleek and slim athlete. Drugs...what can you say... once you start, it's the beginning of the end (in most cases) God Bless Chris' soul... he was a joy to watch..

  • @lyniehall How the fuck do you know that once you begin drugs, it the end in most cases??? Do you work in the feild of addiction medicine, counseling, treatment? What are your sources?? i've been employed in addiction care for 10 years. Don't present something you think as a fact.

  • @raynen2003 Some can't be helped or don't want it.I think I read Bowman was bi-polar,that would make things harder.I got to meet Chris years ago in LA,what a nice guy he was.

  • who knows?

  • yes i will agreee with u on that. I use to love watching him skate it was like watching scott hamilton

  • Very tragic story. Such a gifted young man who never really conquered his demons.
