I've never worked with GCC, but I have worked with g++ both with Linux and Windows(under Cygwin). Perhaps I should switch back to g++ so everyone can follow along easier. I'll also try to be thorough when going over pointers and dynamic memory once we get to that.
I always got stuck in Pointers. Memory allocation and good design patterns to avoid buffer overflow was something that I would have loved to have in recording.
Also would be nice to have something more ubicuos like GCC.
