  • thats dastardly

  • oo no. that was too easy. i'm getting a dog.

  • nice, whats the brand of your curtain pick? i have recently trained as a locksmith and a curtain pick is the main thing i still need to buy, have my eye on a RB one which i think u were using?

  • where do you get your tools from and how to you know when it's picked

  • my lock jam inside the 5 lever left me with out opening the door to my meteread will this work ?

  • Nice job. Made it look easy.

  • thats pretty cool all i can pick righ now is house locks and big tool boxs

  • too hard for the beginner :(

  • thats why you practice :D

  • Good job

  • very good, but it didn't explain it to me in enough detail.

One other thing re insurance (contents insurance) In England you must have a 5 lever mortice to get insurance, if you have a 3 lever, you will not be covered.

I don't think it's the same in Scotland, and don't have a clue about Wales.

  • I'm welsh, i'm only 14 but i still haven't heard anyone talking about this. Seems a bit stupid though, you could lie to the insurance company...

  • In Wales you should have a 5 lever BS3621(2007) Mortice lock on a wooden front door. Not a good idea to lie to an insurance company as they could visit during any claim you may make!

  • Hey, i'm 14 i haven't got to worry about a visit from the insurance company.

  • Tell your mum & dad then!

  • hi,body,i always want to know what"lever" means.Watch your video,i think you can help me.i know there are 5 lever,4 lever,3 lever and so on.

    thanks

  • Levers refer to what is actually in the lock, and are one of the parts of the lock manipulated in order to open it.

As with any picking, the idea in principle is to duplicate what the key does. On most lever locks the key does 2 things: make bolt contact (on a curtain lock, the curtain makes bolt contact) and lift the levers to their correct lifts. When the levers are at their correct lift, the bolt stump is free to pass through the gating, clear of the fences, and the bolt retracts.

  • Cool, but i would like to see him do it on a Chubb 5 leaver lock with false gates. nice looking tool though, food for thought.

  • Already done!

  • cool. What is that device called?

  • wörd

  • Thats impressive, andbody know where I can see DOM and Patriot picked and more tubular.

  • great pick mate.

  • Such an interesting tool.

  • Lockpicks with a dot com behind it sell to anyone. I personaally like home-made tools. They're usually cheaper and better quality than the bought ones. Also, it doesn't matter if you break them because you can just make more! My personal advice is to use the metal inserts from windscreen wiper blades for tension wrenches, and hacksaw blades for actual lockpicks.

  • that can be open with normal pick , thats a good lock

  • i think you need to be a certifyd locksmith to buy tools from them. there are some sites were u can get tools from, ask google :)

  • i like that tool!! i want one. does it work for a chubb 5 lever? or is it only for union? please get back to me ? where is sks limited located?

  • We actually now manufacture the tool which we have redisigned so more makes of lock can be opened. The tool is not restricted to Unions, but will open most locks with a curtain. See the tool at our website.

  • awesome. im having a hard time with my picks right now because i injured my hand on a motorbike. this looks like it could help me at work for the time!

  • same here, except my fingernail ripped off and cant use my hand.....it bleeds if i touch anything.
