How did you guys slow down the clip and speed it up afterwards with twixtor? did you guys just guys just one clip, or did you guys use separate clips and transition it
@bboyJARHEAD didn't use twixtor for this one, just shot it at 60fps and conformed the footage to 30 fps. In Final Cut you can split a clip at any point and just change the speed.
I know alot of men/boys won't admit this but, I cried of happines and joy on this vid it touched me verry much, I don't know why... maybe the unity at the end when everybody comes together and show that it's not only a battle but togetherness :D
Nice video. try the superflat "picture style" if you are looking to correct with magic bullet in post. also magic bullet intentionally leaves settings oversaturated by default, so be wary of the presets.
picture style can be accessed by your incamera menu.
AESOP ROCK !!!!!!!!! Aesop Rock- None Shall Pass is the song. The mix I'm not sure. The original is something you guys should check out. It's amazing, ill lyrics somewhat ambiguous commentary on religion, and society etc. Too ill. Like all of Aesop's shit, haha.
Dope video as always, StrifeTv even more-so than usual in my opinion.
Glad to see you're working with dslr's now, really great especially in the 60fps department. Should look into some better, faster glass as well for filming :D
Wow strife. You and I have simular styles. Melodic editing. Can feel the passion between the beat and the movment. Great job. You edit on final cut? I work wit vegas pro 10. Magic bullet is great. So is boris.fx. hit me up let's colab. :) !!
this is a question directed more towards the video editors of strife:
i currently use vegas pro 9.0, but noticed that it isn't always the most user-friendly with HD footage and am considering investing in a different software. how do you think about final cut pro + magic bullet suite and how much did you purchase it for (also where did buy it if you remember). Thanks!
@popDPx I don't have experience with Vegas so I can't compare the two programs, but Final Cut has proven to be a very powerful and versatile editing tool over the years. Legitimate copies of FCP and Magic Bullet are quite expensive (around $1000 and $800 respectively), but if you're a student you can usually get significant discounts.
@popDPx@popDPx as for Magic Bullet suite, I've only just started using it but I've found the plug-ins work very smoothly with Final Cut and in general it can streamline and save time during the post production process. The suite seems particularly tailored for people who shoot on DSLRs. Magic Bullet Suite is available online from Red Giant Software (google it, I can't link directly in comments)
@popDPx FCP is an all in one. you really shouldn't need magic bullet with it as it comes built in with apple color. a fairly monstrous color app in itself.
Magic bullet is great for post production in software that can render 16 or 32 bit color, such as After Effects.
Using it an editor at 8 bit is lovely and has the same potential across all editing platforms, regardless of OS.
Sony 10 is fine with all HD footage now except for Mac based HD which needs to be logged and transferred in FCP.
Why did you decide to go with the EF 28-135mm lens? Which other lens would you recommend for shooting dance/video?
