  • Great tone and playing. Love it.

  • is this on the neck pickup?

  • @karlharleman

It's on the middel pu. From 2:34 on it's on the bridge pu. Then in the end it's middle or neck, I don't remember.

  • That is true, maybe using a Attenuator good be a option. Hard to get that tone at a lower volume without sacrificing quality. Or at least I do.

  • 30w is a bit much for apartment playing. Maybe if you get one with a master volume mod.

  • @Platano0587

Actually, a master volume mod is the death of a JTM45 :-(

  • Only thing missing is a Marshall 4/12 25 watt greenback .. But still good ,

  • can you play with jtm45 in apartment, realy amazing sound, i am asking because of neighbours ?

  • Excellent gear, that´s just what I want

  • Great playing. Whats the spec on the cab your using? is that a fender cab?

  • Hey awesome playing and great sounding rig! Do you think the marshall has a nice clean and can you have it pretty loud before it starts breaking up? Im thinking of using my pedalboard in front of it and getting my distortion from it. I play everything from heavy rock to jazz and I think this maybe the amp for me.

  • @erikviking

Plenty of clean headroom, works perfect with a pedalboard in front of it.

  • Seems pretty limited

  • "Original reissue" lol

  • I really love that tone you get near the end with the neck pickup. I've been listening to some demos of the boutique makers of this amp and people claim that they sound better but I find they're always somewhat piercing and and shrill sounding.

  • Hey! Thanks for the demo - very helpfull.

When will this amp start to break up compared to let's say a 1987x plexi?

    Thanks!

And by the way .. Is this the reissue?

  • is this the stage level of the amp? volume on 4?

  • @tomiclav

Depends on the stage, but yeah for most of the clubs 4 is pretty sufficient. The JTM45 is pretty loud.

  • @YoungBlueProductions tnx for the answer! rock on!

  • don't know if i asked u- can u get some serious not muddy crunch, rich harmonics, sustain and dynamic flexibility with OCD and this amp? let's say i'm going for an '80s distortion in the style of EVH, richie sambora and gary moore!

  • beautiful! thanks for sharing...

  • Hi,

great vid! what cab and speakers are you using?

  • did u try other overdrive pedals with this amp?

  • Niiiice sound, is it possible to go pritty heavy with that amp if I use an overdrive/distortion pedal with it? :) And you can't change the channel with a footswich, right? :D

  • @MihailTronix :

Soundwise you can achieve a lot of "heavier" tones with this amp depending on the pedal you use in front of it, but if you want to go real heavy you should rather buy something else.

  • @MihailTronix Its a one channel amp bro...

  • Whats that song at 2:55?

  • It's just an improvisation :-)

  • Is this an actual vintage amp or a reissue?

  • Reissue

  • Hi!

Great sounding amp! What tubes do you use?

Did you stick with the 5881's or put kt66's in there?

  • 5881

  • hi!

i have a big doubt about jtm45, does the amplifier had 8ohm´s output or switch for speaker?

    thank you a lot.

    cheers.

  • Sure it does! You can swith between 4,8 and 16ohm.

  • thanks so much, play some chords withou the ocd at first then with it, im pysched! haha thanx so much dude

  • would it be at all possible to record another demo but have the amp cranked alittle to have some nice overdrive then step on the OCD to add higher gain rock type, neck pickup pleaseee lol, thats EXACTLY what i'd wanna do if i do go for the JTM45, i would really appreciate it

  • Hey Art, I could do that if I remember to take the camera with me. This friday I will play my Strat at the rehearsal. I'll crank the JTM and put the OCD on top.

  • Is this head still loud enough to play live with even though it's only 30W?

  • This amp is darn loud! You can easily play live with it. In fact most of the hosts tell you to turn down the volume.

  • What does bridging the inputs do?

  • Pls read the comments, has been answered already.

  • I have a JTM45 reissue. I find single coils are too mid-rangy a flat thru this amp. A Les Paul Jr. with the soap bar pickup sound the best thru it. Or a hum bucker type guitar like a PRS.

  • What's the point of using both channels as you are? Just curious.

    Great video.

  • The sound is more balanced, more powerful.

  • It's funny how nowadays you have modern amps with tons of channels, yet this proves that you can have a non-master volume amp, an overdrive pedal, use your volume knob and achieve the same, but with some much more subtility ...

  • I meant "so much more"

  • you got my dream equipment!!! Jou just need uni vibe :P :D

Great sound....u just entered strat, ocd, marshall and found this.....just great,great,great....

  • it'd sound much better if we can really hear it in front of that sweet marshall amp

    still sounds sick!

  • Step on the wah & presto!!, out comes Voodoo Chile.... ;-)

The stock strat pups are a bit too knarly for me, but that's a fine sounding amp for sure.

Did you change anything for the very last bit of the video? It sounds a little different from earlier.... Maybe you had the wah on with a bit of top cut??? Sounds nice.

  • Thank you! Didn't change a thing. By the way, these are not the stock pus! It's a set of Texas Specials.

  • is it not the tex mex pups that come with the jimmie vaughan strat?

  • Like the guitar?

  • Like??? No way, I LOVE that guitar. Pick of the bunch.

  • Nice plaaaaayd!

  • i want that amp now !!!!

  • What a piece of equipment you got there!!!!

  • Now that's a strat tone!

    Nice!

  • What kind of cab/speakers are you running? Both clips of this amp sound amazing!

  • Thanks for your comment. The cap is eqipped with Fender special design speakers.

  • Awesome tone man... reall good! And very nice playing as well! Keep em coming!

  • is it stock jimmi vaughan strat?

    tex-mezx PU?

  • I have upgraded the JV Strat with a set of Texas Special pick ups. The rest of the guitar is standard.

  • Great sound!! Could you maybe demo it with a lespaul? I just bought a Vintage Modern and want to compare weither it sounds close to the JTM=d

  • Sure I will also post a video with the Les Paul / ESP Eclipse. Check back in the next two to three weeks and the Paul video will be up.

  • Nice YBP!!!

  • hi ,

    very good sound its awesome!!!

i think you have the Killersound or what??
