When my grandson was 6, I'd watch Sponge Bob with him. One day, I told him about MY cartoons and how funny they were (and still are). He asked me one day if we could watch some funny cartoons so I put on a Looney Tunes dvd. The look on his face was priceless. For the 1st time, he saw Bugs, Daffy, Foghorn, the whole gang. And for the 1st time, he laughed at cartoons. And, yes, I laughed with him. They're STILL funny and still the best. Today, at 10, he collects Looney Tunes. Thanks, Warner Bros.

The intonation's that Mel Blanc gave here... especially when a disgusted (but still angered) Daffy spouts "Ohhhhh no you don't..... Not again.... sorry...." are half of what makes this scene hilarious. Don't get me wrong... the visual antics are great (the various way's that Daffy's bill ends up somewhere on his head)... but to me.. it's the voice work that really puts this over. You won't find this sort of comedic gold in today's cartoons.
