ive still never seen the movie and im a teenager, i really have to see it now because i feel really weird. but i dont know where to watch the whole movie
Can you imagine Wizard of Oz without Over the Rainbow? It definitely would not be the same movie. Thank goodness they decided to put it back in. I don't know why you would want to cut in the first place after hearing Judy sing it like that.
@Leask17 I honestly can't the score the message of the movie would not be the same and Judy Garland would not have had a signature song. Although Judy's voice however is still magnificent.
I REALLY love Margaret Hamilton. Despite the rather icy, hard roles given to her in Hollywood, she was always very loyal and gracious to her fans and frequently answered fanmail or responded to autograph requests. I think she really went out of her way to make sure her fans knew how appreciative she was to have them.
I like how Liza Minnelli refers to Judy Garland as "Mama." I don't know why but theres something very touching about that. I mean after all these years she still calls her that. Sweet. :)
J.K. Rowling is today's L. Frank Baum. You can never go wrong writing for children. "Over The Rainbow" is perhaps the greatest movie song of all time. It almost didn't make the cut. It's strange how a movie finally comes together to become the classic it becomes.
Think of Ed Wynn playing the Wizard. It would have been a great reunion for him and Ray Bolger when comming together to do Disney's Babes Toyland in 1961.

It's ironic that some of the most famous and greatest movies of cinema were the hardest ones to film.

Margaret Hamilton is awesome! I'm so happy that she took on the role of the witch, and it sounds like she had a great sense of humor about it. :)

@TVsterwarsHarryPott - It's actually included on most DVD releases from 1999-onward, and I believe Turner Classic Movies runs it from time to time.
