@mrhuge815 not a forgone conclusion. I can imagine many people would pop their knees doing this. The person in the video is not one of them. If you fear the exercise you can learn how to do it. With ability comes understanding
bullshit..this exercise is not bad for the knees, hes doing this since many years and nothing is wrong with his knees, look how easily he is able to perform the squats
hey men how can you do that with one single leg, i cant even get back up even with both legs they are too weak i cannot keep my back straight or else i cnt get up my legs are so skinny that i never ever wear shorts how can i get strength on my legs and gain a some muscle well not exactly muscle just so they wnt be so skinny
@zem4 No you are mistaken, it is very good for the knees--IF done correctly. If you don't have the flexibility, balance, control or strength, then you are right, it is bad for your knees--to each their own.
@zem4 Well I agree with you, even though I really respect this dude. He is physically gifted and is no doubt making a bundle of cash from his training techniques. I say to the whole whirl, just learn the basics-maybe put a little personal snazz into the basics after a while and train with common sense and moderation. Word to our mothers.
@burtrumbean Everything should be easier barefoot. Any shoe too thick and doesn't allow natural motion is bad for your feet and body in general. It jams up joints, threatens the nervous system and disrupts progress. Get a pair of Nike Free's.
This will mess up your knee if done wrong! You should stress the point in not to not relax and refire the muscles at the bottom of the exentric part. But it is a great exercise if done corresct for sure.
I can do a fair amount of One-legged Squats but I never thought about trying it with the imbalance of a Kettlebell (just recently got a few of my own) and I have to say that is damn impressive how you bust those out.
I know what I'm going to be focusing on for a while.
and pop goes the patella..

I like that he's wearing 3 different brands of clothing. He didn't want to make any of them jealous.

does anybody find its easier to do these barefoot?
burtrumbean 1 year ago
@burtrumbean I actually tried it barefoot before and it was slightly easier. I guess it depends on what footwear you are wearing.

Why do so many people think that so many thing are bad for your knees...?
Just wondering where this comes from.

@JacktheDaniels Seems that knees are the most prone to be hurt in excercises, games, etc.
