  • Great job best teacher on YouTube

  • howmany people watching this actualy have the sheet music

  • youtube is becoming a fertile ground for selling stuff videos...

  • god that fucking tempo sound is fucking annoying

  • @Eiladel you mean the click track?

  • Agreed... Relax. Us the wrists & fingers. Good lesson. Check out my version!

  • Thumbs up if at 6:55 you said "hello"

  • haber si te callas un poco!!!!!!

  • If you can do a vid for Lateralus by Tool, you'd be a god. That track has notoriously obscure timings in. Good luck, look forward to see what you come up with!

  • Too technical and he's playing it wrong.

  • NATE!!

  • shut the fuck up and play it asshole!!!!!!!!!!

  • honestly i got behind my real drums and used guitar hero to help me learn this song (i'm not a guitar hero fag!!! i just noticed that the drum track was like the real thing so i just put it on practice and played along with the chart)

  • @stevieray345 xD and I thought I was the only one!!!

  • where can i get from 2 to 4 lessons?

  • @chicagalvan

if you just started playing? you could play a 4/4 rock beat, maybe. AC/DC is easy stuff, perfect for a beginner.

  • Note reading isn't bad, Vinnie Colaiuta - wiki him if you don't know who this drum icon is... (his work ranges, believe it or not - from Backstreet Boys to Megadeth :D) He is probably the best note reader amongst drummers in the world and I heard a story about some sick drum song presented to him on sheet, and he nailed it right on... the point is: if you learn how to read notes for drums perfectly, you're gonna kick some ass. I myself don't know how to read 'em, but it's not a bad think to know

  • Fuck that, if I was that smart Id be doing surgery and I dont read music and been playing 45 yrs. I do hear most read drummers are a real stick in the mud. If you cant play by ear your fucked.

  • 44,444 viewer!

  • @writergrrl92 I hear ya! I play strictly by feel even though I can read music

  • sheet music is good... i use to think learning beats by ear was the right way but i improved soooo much by learning of sheets. After you know the beat you add the passion in it!!!! i was everywhere with my beats when i learnt without sheets

  • real musicians play it by ear, cmon, hes teaching the basics, so you get a feeling for it, then to be a "real" musician and play on

  • @BraunerBomberBatzen "Being a session guitarist was my apprenticeship. I was self-taught, so being in the studio, playing jazz one day, rock the next, then Top 20 tripe, I had to learn how to read music to do the job. But that was a huge step forward, because I realized that once you could read music, you could write it too"-Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) quote.Does Jimmy Page qualify as a "real" musician ?

  • Real musicians play it by ear....

  • too much talking

  • I liked the video , very good . Watch my video (BANDA TRAMPO) de boituva , comment if you like

  • sheet = no soul, no spirit

  • Dave grohl and John bonham..... not respected musicians cause they didnt read.Music is art. Art requires creativeness... not schooling. U dont have to go to school for this unless u wanna teach it, or be a tech. F#@K it! Rock your souls out!!!

  • @edstees Huh? I think you mean they WERE respected because they didn't read sheet music, because you can't be a drummer and disrespect Dave Grohl and John Bonham...

  • you talk to much...

  • this makes it even more difficult for me to learn the song....i dont even understand anything here..its better to learn it by ear..wew

  • @writergrrl92 Thats fine if you only want to do this during your spare time but if you want to be respected as a pro...learn to read and be a better musician

  • i bet you learned it by ear

  • measure

  • Why do you have the same cloths in every video..

  • @KIngExaviar And why do you care?

  • Great vid! check out my band slinkweed on facebook or myspace.comslinkweed we try to b awesome 4 u guys help support!!!

  • @grungefan848 Your band is awesome, the songs are really good.

  • wheres the rest of the lessons?

  • @mfkill5sk8 thats what im wondering

  • @mineonlyhoof i think u have to buy them from there site... thats pretty cheap

  • So I'm guessing these lessons are no good if you dont know how to read music and know all of the terminology. Which is kinda sad, because I didnt think you had to know what everything means just to play a damn song.

  • @writergrrl92 Well, if you look at the sheet music sample he gave, it defines everything shown on the sheet. Also, he talks about what he's doing in the video, so you wouldn't have to know everything, because he's showing you. Just from this video, he defines 16th notes, hi-hat notation on sheet music, and the sign to repeat the previous measure, all within the first 2 minutes. He's just building good fundamentals, so you can read and play music.

  • stop talking and play the damn song!!!!!!!

  • Te entendi caleta wn :D

  • looks like a yamaha kit

  • what kind of kit are you using?

  • @Friedoyster3 its a sonor force 2003

  • @MangoSmoothie16 cool i actually have that same kit

  • @Friedoyster3 its an awsome kit for the price. I love it.

  • people must be dumb not to be able to learn by them selfs theres no 1e and A 2 .... bla bla i play drums 19 years never used those countings just sit and try

  • @elvedin555 thats why you suck

  • @elvedin555

Just because you don't use them doesn't mean they aren't useful. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face. I myself don't really use counting these days, but when I was starting out I found it incredibly helpful when learning 16th notes

  • @elvedin555 -- you're probably not very good

  • you should teach some harder stufff ive been playin for 5 years so i kinda already know tat stuff but try teaching the chorus of that song that looks cool and youd be good at teaching it

  • you are a star

  • buenisimo, sos un groso!

  • thanks man your great

  • not only a good tutorial for the song, but also thankyou the tips for improving speed. I now notice that i used my arms alot more than i should and thats why my speed wasn't as good as it could be. THX

  • thanks a LOT ! 5 stars

  • lol, I've been trying to play this song for weeks. Great to see you did a tutorial on it!

Extra question: What kind of hats are those? They have a really brilliant sound to them!

    Once again, thanks!

  • Zildjian, but I'm not sure if they're custom or not.

  • Is it just me or is this video REALLY quiet ?

  • nice

  • Lol... when I heard 158bpm... It was over for me.

  • Why cant you do it?

if you cant train by doing simple strokes then double has fast has you can (at your limit) then keep it stable then each day go a little faster each day

  • just start slower, and get faster - you'll get it :D

  • xD that's no problem, you can practise it at any speed you like :)

  • @k0mbutcha Yeah. ^.^ I just find it intimidating because I can't play anything at that speed unless it's all quarter and/or eighth notes at the moment.

  • wow, maybe in a few years lol
