@eosforosgrpt Yes really. What is the argument here? or was it your "funny" one liner you use to people who voice an opinion on the subject? Tell me each one of us in western civilisations has their priorities right. The greatest philosophers of the western world were ancient greek.and thats all i was pointing out. Ancient greeks invented the 1-bit computer 300 years before jesus, and i bet you couldnt ask a "normal" person to tell you how it works. Thats the problem.

I'm trying to find a quote possibly by Epicurus. It's something like: "You cannot convince a man of that which he believes he already knows." Again, something like that. I'm pretty sure it's by a famous philosopher, who's name started with an E and I believe he was Greek. Thank you!!!
i dont understand we all those people speak with such hate and anger about greece. I dont know what have u been tought but one thing i now, you all have been tought to hate and be jealous of Greece. And the economic crisis that Greece is suffering now makes you all soooo happy! If we stole other peoples culture then what have you countries done with ours? u can add one more quote from an ordinary greek philosophy teacher that i heard "Greece gave light to the world but ironicly greece was left blinded" i think this describes modern greece.
I have something to say even though I'm a fool: I find as absurd the belief that the first people to analyze where these Greeks. Come on! Virtually all people have that ability. They were just known for it, since they focused on it.
Btw, if you want to sound smart, say "upon" instead of "on."
I love that last quote. It resonates with me since I just finished proving to someone elsewhere that he's wrong and he can't deny it but ignores it in willful blindness.

@loveruleshate u just can't accept that it's through those greek philosophers you came to know philosophy-after all it's a greek word but it sounds as though your interested in spirituality and not critical reasoning & logic which greek philosophers began. Our sciences came from inductive logical arguments all a branch of philosophy. Pre-socratic philosophers have been around longer than buddha so really don't know why you hate greece so much
@loveruleshate LOL, Buddha lived 2200 years before Socrates??? What kind of history have you been reading? Socrates was a contemporary to Buddha, they both lived in the 5th century BC. However, Buddha wasn't even a philosopher per se, he was first and foremost a mystic. Buddha couldn't care less about rational inquiry about the world. That's why Greek philosophy had to eventually introduce some rational elements into Buddhism (see Greco-Buddhism) through the conquests of Alexander the Great...
all the above were slavobulgarians, dont try to steal the history of fyrom! plato, socrates, heracleitos were all speaking bulgarian. U thiefs steal everything fyromian, first was alexander, later u stole samuil and now u stole michael jackson(he is dead now so we can easily claim him as fyromians, cause as u know in contrast with albanians we fyromians are clever, we claim only dead people)

One of his greatest quotes: "We have two ears to listen more and one mouth to talk less."

We will never get the story of the common man. They vilify Caesar and laud praise upon the conspirators like Cicero
Caesar who cut taxes, raised wages and gave land back to the peasants. Cicero the slave owner, slum lord, bankster that paid nothing and taxed everyone
History isn't enlightenment it's indoctrination into and oligarchical society
I issume you are not a historian, or at least don't think like one. You can say these people did evil things and im sure they would have said the same of us. And since no one person has any right to pass judgement on any other it will be impossible to know who is really right or wrong, if right and wrong even exist as anything more than opinions. This is not the point however, these are just quotes, letters and sounds, which cannot be evil in and of themselves.
Put your pecker back in your pants, this isn't a pissing contest. I never once used the word evil, that's a belief system all unto itself and I'm not going there.

@Epicomahos Aristotle and the rest of the ancient greek philosophers never existed. The greek alphabet is not greek in origin. Its actually egyptian. When the roman savages took over egypt they forced their language on egyptians. The egyptians then took 1 of their 3 original writing styles (phonetic) and applied it to the greek language. So its not greek at all but thats what they teach you. Also note that no alphabet existed in europe prior to that (325 AD) so these writers & writings were lies

I just want to remind everyone who is watching this video, that Aristotle was Macedonian, and not Greek. He later taught in Athens, and stayed there during Alexander's eastern campaigns. After Alexander's death, and during anti-Macedonian riots in Greece, he returned to his birthplace, Macedonia.
LOL are you slavs trying to claim aristotle as your own too? or is it more likely that aristotle and alexander were both macedonians, consequently being greeks?
To justify your position, all we hear is ridiculous rationalization after ridiculous rationalization.
