@usdmarket When Dennis first started bringing Grave Digger to different events around the country, he hauled the truck on a flatbed trailer towed behind an old school bus. When Fred Baumann first painted the "graveyard" scheme on the truck, it still had the regular white headlights in place. According to an interview with Dennis, he (Dennis) didn't like the look of the regular lights with the new paint scheme, and he still had the old lights from the bus, so he put them in the truck.
what would grave digger be today without that paint job???
remember the original grey truck
basically that paint job made it,,, and his wild sty;e helped as well,,, but without the paint job,,, i think he may have been just a guy who broke a lot of parts
i would love to know what feld/monster jam paid him for the trafemark/grave digger name
@craigslist1994 Yes, the original Grave Digger was a 1951 Ford pickup, painted in red primer, which was run as a mud truck. However, Dennis did also crush cars with this truck on a few occasions. The first panel van (the blue and silver 1951 Ford panel van) was also a mud truck, originally, before it got the "graveyard" paint job and larger tires.
The grave diggers gonna get you one day , lol

I bet that was a rough ride back in the day. No real suspension, just big ass leaf springs.
