By the way: Perhaps your version of the booklet is older than mine. Perhaps they simply corrected the mistake in later prints. Mine says "on cold nights". Also, it's common that the lyrics in a song are changed in the studio while it's recorded, when the singer realizes that a change is preferable, and then the change might not make it to the official lyrics. I've seen that plenty of times - both with Rise Against and lots of other bands. (:

@Krumiiiii I think Savior is just cast out by a lot of people because it went so mainstream. On the contrary, I think it's an amazing song regardless of all the overplay. I actually thought this was the worst of the album, but that's just me I suppose.

I mean it's the same with Satellite on Endgame. It's clearly the big "12-year-old-fangirl" song on the album, but nonetheless a great anthem

Let me explain the confusion between the lyrics "On a cold night" and "On cold nights" - The line is indeed "On a cold night." He says it quickly, and the fact that the drummer hits his splash cymbal as he finishes the word "night" it makes it sound like he says "nights"
