  • One Atom is one universe. QUANTITY of universes is QUANTITY of atoms in one

    universe!

Dark matter from black holes making field behind mass of universe = electron

    - this power prevent connect universe with the others universes. (to connect

univesrses you need biger power (temp and pressure) than pressure produce

    black holes)

  • Strike a pose you're not that good looking!

  • I have a serious answer to the paradox of the neutrino, but it is in Castilian, if you want to read this is the link:

    NEUTRINOS VERSUS LUZ

    Write this in youtube...

  • That chick is kinda hot! I'd do her, shes got a nice body to!

  • e un esperimento cosi grande pe rl'umanita che tra unasettimana e tutto dimenticato

  • Now I understand ground on which super Mario story is based.

  • nice

  • Dark Matter is kind of a place holder term for, we donno what the hell it is.

  • Has anyone ever considered neutrinos as being part of the gravity puzzle? Could they not cause the friction in a vacuum as is the higgs model? Maybe some very sensitive gravity fluctuations could be detected in the LHC while creating neutrinos? maybe I'm ridiculous.

  • @Ender0410 The neutrino is a candidate for a Hot Dark Matter particle. But WMAP data on the CBR favors Cold Dark Matter models. I've never heard of anyone looking to the neutrino to explain mass.

  • (follows) - to me if a scientific news is interesting , I don't care about the accent of the spokesperson giving it (although I find that the journalist honestly got a good and very clear english spelling&pronunciation), maybe some people here would be better to go to a fashion&glamour forum instead of posting stupid comments here, or even better on P...o-tube, sorry to say that, thanks again for the uploading

  • I did not know there was a slightly longer version of this video, thanks for letting me see again, hope this is not taken as a willingness to say to the author of this post how to deal with it (many thanks for all the posts by the way) , but if I'm allowed, I would just suggest the opportunity to block some inappropriate comments, I unfortunately found some (even offensive ones) and I find them as they have absolutely nothing to do with these themes,

  • yea i wann bombard you paola

  • Thanks for the news!

  • Image? What's wrong with what she is wearing? She's sounds about four thousand and two times more intelligent than all the hacks posting stupid comments here. And please don't spice it up and dumb it down any. Show the grit and the real stuff and images that the scientists see. So much on TV and the web is fake just your damn mouths you instant gratification addicts and let the rest of us just enjoy the fact that people like this doing these things offer a little redeeming quality for humanity.

  • Image? What's wrong with what she is wearing? She's sounds about four thousand and two times more intelligent than all the hacks posting stupid S here. So much on TV and the web is fake just your damn mouths you instant gratification whores and let the rest of us just enjoy the fact that people like this doing these things offer a little redeeming quality for humanity.

  • Congratulations! The ones posting negative comments don't understand the complexity, the importance, the relevance and the thousands of work hours involved. They're welcome to light up another, drink a beer, and watch some more mindless TV programmed for the intelligence and attention span of a 10 year old. We'll keep an eye out on CERN and others doing the important work that will improve our grandchildrens' lives.

  • hahahahaha...another funny news release from the planet of con-Cern...where did they find this badly dressed Natasha. I think they should seriously consider their image...this is so incredibly funny

  • After costing all those millions of Euro's it good to see what's happening at CERN........Mike

  • What neutrinos have mass I didn't even know they're Catholic.

  • @mage1over137

i lawled so hard i shat a little

  • come on smash those damn protons, I'm sick of waiting. Give us the news for Higgs Boson

  • @TurkiyeCumhurbaskani Yeah give us big bang, or just a small bang bang, or maybe just to bang her a bit.

  • Il CERN è pieno di italiani, dobbiamo solo essere orgogliosi dei nostri cervelli. Fate il culo a tutti, cervelloni nostri!! Viva l'Italia, maremma maiala!!

  • Thanks for making the show and giving us updates on whats going on at CERN!

  • she is sexy with that skirt

  • This is where I got the idea for my username.

  • anything new??

  • Sign me up!

  • Por favor substitulos.

  • so interesting

  • So a Neutrino can be three particles at the same time in different spaces, but not at the same time in the same place?

  • Does anyone know what makes them ( neutrino's ) oscillate.

  • I remember looking up the SPS & it's history quite a while ago, it sounded like it was the first to use the idea of crashing two things against one another when before they crashed against a stationary target. Do the Neutrino crash through a special target before traveling underground? I thought all it did now was feed the LHC. What I'd like to see on Youtube is SPS and LEP tunnels being built & it's conversion to LHC how one project lead to another, cern.ch shows bits but not the continuity.

  • The British didn't have an empire for nothing, right?

  • Thesse people really crack me up with their accent! :D xD :D

Like european pornstars talking english language :) It is serious topic, and yet their accent (her accent) - like Czech or Hungarian Pornstars!

  • I'm a bit curious about what they use to keep that panel aligned with the other over that kind of distance.

  • @Shisho2k afik there is no need to align them towards eachother beacuse of the amount of neutrines that are sent out from the lhc, some will hit the site in italy.

  • @IvarNordman Oh I see. I just got the impression it was like a very precise one on one kind of thing.

  • too deep but not impossible to understand... my head is dizzy ...5stars

  • Love her. Smart, very sexy and showing it off. Very tasty.

She is also very easy to understand!

  • Lucia Votano should have given her presentation in her native language with English subtitles. it's very hard to understand what she's saying.

  • So the standard model isn't so standard after all and the neutrino has mass, how exciting! How long before Leonard Susskind has it in his course? :-)

  • Please make more videos!!!

  • Interesting, I had no idea that the different families (or generations) of neutrinos were actually just different oscillation states of the same family (or generation). (That is, If I understood correctly.)

Nice video. Not all videos has to be in HD format either.

  • I want to build a neutrino cannon. It would blast through walls, rocks, people, and pretty much anything else, doing an astounding 0 damage with no chance of critical. It would sound extremely threatening to people who havent taken high school physics.

Still, I am amazed that these things have even been discovered.

  • first song??

  • That's one hot CERN scientist.

  • @ASKaPHYSICIST She's sizzling... tssss, pop

  • Well, if Oprah saw it then it musta' happened. I don't know why you need a Latino detector, though, when you can just look right at 'em and see 'em.

  • What an exciting time to be alive.

  • Great that you are back :-)

  • Fascinating stuff, it's nice when theories and practice meet.

  • For those deceived by the quality, please bear with it for this one. All future issues will be produced, whenever possible, in HD. Thanx for watching!

  • @CERNTV

Thank you for sharing the knowledge and excitement created from your hard work.

  • @CERNTV I think CERNTV can do a better job at explaining more clearly the news so that the 'average' person can understand clearly. There are many missing explanations that leave me wondering what this news really means.

  • @CERNTV Find someone who speaks English well, or French for that matter. And yes, find her a better seamstress

  • @CERNTV quality of video is good tks., personally I'm rather deceived by some stupid comments and by how they could show up in a scientific channel but I guess this is another issue....

    rgds.

  • @CERNTV quality of video is good tks., personally I'm rather deceived by quality of some stupid comments and by how they could show up in a scientific channel but I guess this is another issue....

    rgds.

  • This is our first clip of the new series "CERN News", which will cover any aspect of CERN research, not just the LHC. The choice to release this particular issue in 4:3 SD is merely due to the fact that most of the material in our possession, such as the schemes, animations, and some of the Gran Sasso footage, was produced a few years ago, and archived in compressed SD, hence its poor quality.

    (cont'd)...

  • Is the Sanford Dark Matter underground laboratory in Lead South Dakota a part of this experiment?

  • Im so sorry. But will some tell me what this means in layman? Thank you.:-)

  • @zarko1982 Just do what I do, cheat off of a 5th grader.

  • I'm not even going to pretend that I know what they're talking about.

  • Very cool information.

  • Dug for the douchebag at 5:20

  • Hey, where black holes? I'm waiting! :)

  • @heimlich3 YES! Black Holes! Black Holes! Black Holes!

When do you guys get to work seriously and give us some black holes?

    Can't wait for my ride!

    My blackholeboard is getting rusty...

  • @theWHying beacuse the woman on the show actually knows the stuff

  • Why do women always wear the wrong shoes when out climbing ladders?

Anyway, well done Cern, keep up the good work. Hopefully you'll disprove god soon.

  • @Neutrinoghost only atheist fagot like you will get disproved.

  • @MonsteriuM lol you're too funny man.

  • @MonsteriuM Quality comment from an intellectual giant. Turning to the lord has never looked more attractive than it does in the light of your cleverly worded and reverently cutting single sentence quips. (golf clap) Bravo Sir Bravo.

  • @myjizzureye well, thank you sir. I appreciate the (golf clap) it added a lot to the atmosphere.

  • @MonsteriuM Kinky thing was my reply was to Monsterium, must of fked up somehow and posted it under yours :P

  • @MonsteriuM @MonsteriuM Hahaha, really? Where in the Qur'an does it tell us how to build the LHC again?..oh yeah is doens't because it's full of shit. Do you care to back up your claim that I'm a fagot because I have a disbelief in god?

  • Comment removed

  • @Neutrinoghost this is so lame in so many different ways, god created the universe and every living thing including the brain that enables you to think therefore you were able to build the LHC, Do they teach you how to invent in the university? NO, they give you the basic and you think of the rest.

(Please don’t comment on my spelling or grammar, this is not my native language and it doesn’t reflect my intelligence)

  • @MonsteriuM How is it lame? Do you care to back up your claims that god created the Universe, and the human brain. No circular arguments please, just hard facts will do nicely. Thank you, I'll be waiting.

  • @Neutrinoghost well, I'm not going to pretend what I’m not,

I'm really not up to this kind of discussion especially in 2nd language that I’m not so good in it. If you are interested I can refer you someone.

  • @MonsteriuM How convenient, as soon as I ask you for evidence, you claim you can't debate in English.

  • @Neutrinoghost I thought you were going to say that, that's why i quite early

because if you won in this debate the reason will be me not the lack of evidence in islam, beside youtube is really not the right place for this kind of deep subject, plus you are asking for evidence like it's some kind of simple equitation i.e 1+1, that will not work.

  • @MonsteriuM That's because your answer, if you would condense it as short as possible, would be "The universe was created by god, because god created the usiverse"... But because it's too obvious that's not an answer, but circular reasoning, you have to introduce lots of other stuff: "The universe was created by god, because.... bla bla god bla bla bla created bla bla bla the universe bla bla" I say "bla" because it's all there just to hide the fact it's circular reasoning and thus a fallacy

  • Oh, this seems interseting, im gonna try to learn more about it, thank you CernTv for the info :P

  • why can't CERN get a babe to report and not a grandmom

  • @theWHYing she is babeish to me, hot and smart, what more can you ask for?

  • im just kidding i dont mean to act stupid lol, i read michio kaku's book's thats why i suscribed to you guys :P

  • damn she's got me h9orny now

  • Damn that bitch got a fat ass mmmm :)

  • The guy at the end doesn't often see neutrino events, but when he does, he prefers tau neutrinos.

  • Can't wait till the next breakthrough will arise... something like computers II !!!

  • LOVE THE SKIRT ! You married? Beauty and Brains - now the question is can you Cook ? I've got neutrino's here too.

  • Crazy, I can't wait 'till I'm 75 years old to see what we will have discovered.

  • The nerds at the lab must go crazy when this hot mamma walks into a room and starts talking about neutrinos.

  • @tintiringa shut up you little fucking twat. yes i am a hater. i hate of morons.

  • @tintiringa Funny... typical nerd stereotype... she is cute for a physicist public relations group. But she is very knowlegable too.

  • @tintiringa mamma?? this girl is horrible!

  • Dis is stoopid. When are we gonna have flyin' cars n' shit.

  • @goldragon988 ye i agree dis is stoopid i want to teleport my ass already daaymn =/

  • @vindicta911 We have already teleported Individual particles. A whole body. Now that is something else entirely. /watch?v=-FqLCLooayM is an example for you.

  • I read about this a long time ago. This is amazing. The neutrinos actually osculated.

  • Host is a MILF ; )

  • What is CernTV stopped using an Italian-French woman speaking English and English dubbing, let them spoke their native language and sub-texted the videos? I would like it more because I love to watch other cultures than English too.

  • @teemuruskeepaa And when she speaks her native tongue (Italian), she seems like a different person. The slight awkwardness really comes from her attempts at English.

    p.s. It's you again!

  • @HiAdrian She was really a bit less awkward in this video because the scientist was being so appropriate with her, like a gentleman.

  • @boonw So you lose hope when Italians speak Italian to the world, and not English? Subtexts cover it.

  • @boonw Popularization of science is not supposed to bring to the people on their sofas on a golden platter. Let those who understand how important this is come to the science. Texts wouldn't have any effect on popularity on Youtube, but their would just benefit autonomy, cultural exchange and political correctness. I would love to learn many languages through watching videos online. My problem is that it all in English. National TV is too. Typical for Anglo-saxon imperialism too.

  • And as HiAdrian pointed out, the media performace would have a higher quality when people don't try to talk a foreign language. That's the reason I find talking and subtexting Finnish easier on Youtube

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"My problem is that it all in English. National TV is too. Typical for Anglo-saxon imperialism too. "

Its simply because English reaches the most people, bar none. Sure subtitles can fix that, but you have to realize that CERN is spending money on these videos in an attempt to educate people, and thus they want to make the video appeal to as many people as possible.

Though come to think of it, I think its possible to write subtitles for many languages for youtube videos now.

  • @boonw I think it is really annoying for you to think that they need to use English to reach more people. It is an insult to the Italians and to us who suffer from your Capitalist oppression. HiAdrian's supporting comment for me is quite enough reason to start making Italian videos about CERN so shut up.

  • @boonw CERN spending money is a non-issue because they could reach people by subtexts, but only better. Talking about spending money in context points to an attitude, that English is superior and fits to serious and expensive campaigns. English is not superior and using your native language is better in every way. Only if there were no subtexts like it used to be before Youtube, would speaking Italian be hard to use in reaching wide audiences.

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"English is not superior and using your native language is better in every way."

But you are ignoring my point that English is A) the dominant language on the planet, and that B) much of the population around the world in non English speaking countries know English. People like hearing things they understand, and because they want to reach a large audience, they use English. If the dominant language was french, they would be doing the video in french.

  • @boonw They wouldn't lose anything because they read the subtexts. If a video is in foreign language with foreign or no texts, then people can't understand it. Putting English sub-texts on a foreign language makes both worlds win. You are demanding only English win.

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"Putting English sub-texts on a foreign language makes both worlds win. You are demanding only English win."

No I am not. Quite simply put, people dont like reading subtitles, especially when they are flipping through windows. You specifically ignored the part in my last point that if another language was put into the same position as english is, whether it be french, german, dutch,finish,russian,mandarin,japanese..... ect. I would support the video being done in that language

  • @boonw So you are demanding an English win because you don't like reading subtexts. I beg your pardon, people are better speaking their own language with many benefits therein and in video quality, as I have already written earlier but you just ignore it. Besides, I feel you are just trying to dominate this conversation. English arrogance. You can't find any reason what so ever to not to make native language videos.

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"o you are demanding an English win because you don't like reading subtexts"

This iis what bothers me,I go into length explaining why I dont hold the position you say I do, and then you continue to insist that I hold the position I just explained I dont hold.THE VIDEOS SHOULD BE DONE IN ENGLISH BECAUSE IT APPEALS TO MORE PEOPLE THAT WAY, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE DONT LIKE READING SUBTITLES AND/OR LIKE TO FLIP IN BETWEEN WINDOWS WHEN WATCHING YOUTUBE VIDEOS.

    clear enough?

  • @boonw You are not going into length in anything. You are skipping most of my arguments and repeating how it is inconvienient to stop making videos where foreign people use English. You are just against changing status quo where everything is talked in English. I gave you in length explanation why it would better but you are jamming in one single argument. Subtexts makes the appeal of listening to a common language irrelevant because people can understand it. Don't talk of not liking subtexts.

  • @boonw You ignore the benefits and repeat over and over again how people can't understand any other language. Subtexts make them understand and to be able to enjoy from the benefits of using their own language and listening/reading a foreign language on both sides. Argue about the benefits now since subtexts made your single argument redundant.

  • @boonw If people don't like reading subtexts, it is not as bad as not having subtexts and having only English without the benefits of the native language, because it is simply possible. Speaking only English denies people the benefits of speaking their native language. People should take the effort to read the texts and listen to foreign languages, because they need to recognize other languages than English and let others have benefits in that. Total denial is not better than a compromise.

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"If people don't like reading subtexts, it is not as bad as not having subtexts and having only English without the benefits of the native language" She speaks fine, and the people who write/lookover the script are probably all very good at english or are native in english. There are no benefits there that meet your description.

"People should take the effort to read the texts and listen to foreign languages"

a lot of people are lazy and/or like to multitask.

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"Total denial is not better than a compromise"

they are not denied speaking another language, but again, you fail to realise that most people watching understand English. Its not just a trade language now, people who play multilayer games (thanks for inventing the internet CERN) often have to learn English to interact with larger audiences.

Quite simply put, if you want to spread a message to an international audience, you'll get best success with english.

  • @boonw They are denied it on the basis that there is a norm that it is better to speak only English because people don't want to read subtexts. We don't need English as a common language anymore.

  • @boonw They are denied it through social pressure by your kind of statements that English is the common language and should be tampered with. I am tampering and I've given my readers many reason why we don't need English anymore as a common language. Rules are made by the tyrants in power.

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"I've given my readers many reason why we don't need English anymore as a common language"

No, you havent, you have insisted that we dont need english anymore as a common language, then said people are loosing freedoms (for a lack of a better term) that they arent.

But I am going to ask you a question. If the most spoken language in the world was Finish, and everyone learned that to talk to most other people, would you have the same attitude?

  • @boonw No I didn't. You are leaving things out. You have no right to ask me a question before you represent my thoughts as they are. And people are denied using their own language in your regime of English as a common language on Youtube, simply because they would have benefits from using their native language and English subtexts to serve as a new common language, but they are not able to do so. They are deprived from it by "common language" of English, but subtexts liberate everybody from it.

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"You are leaving things out. You have no right to ask me a question before you represent my thoughts as they are."

I am totally in my rights to ask you a question. If you feel that I have misrepresented your opinions then explain what I got wrong.

But reading the rest of the post, you have again, ignored, that anyone can make a video in any language they want, nobody is stopping them. Nobody is stopping them from using English subs either. English gets views, period.

  • @boonw It's funny how you write "is" as something inavoidable. Because it "is", it has to be, right? It is necessary just because it "is"?

  • @teemurus

"It's funny how you write"is"as something inavoidable" The use of the word unavoidable doesnt make sense to be used here. Just like how we can determine haber process IS the most important chemichal process for agricultrure, we can determine that english IS the common language. Its spoken by many economic powerhouses in the world, its the biggest second language, and most countries have programs to teach english. People all learn english because its easier than learning several

  • @boonw Don't get tangled to a one word in a discussion full of words.

  • @boonw We both acknowledge English as the common language. But I say it shouldn't be because speaking a native language is better. You are interested in the ritual of acting out the fact that English is the common language. And you are arguing me just because you think I am trying to stop you from acting that ritual. It is funny. You are acting like something that is not aware of itself, a plant. The existence of English as the common language depends on being as it were and nobody could match

  • @teemuruskeepaa

"But I say it shouldn't be because speaking a native language is better"

Not when you are trying to spread a message to a larger audience. Its good for the people that speak it, but better when a far larger group can understand it.

"And you are arguing me just because you think I am trying to stop you from acting that ritual"

No, I am arguing with you because your claims are really quite silly. I am putting reality plain and simple in front of you.

  • Interesting video, awesome intro music.

Is that the experiment were the INFN used the lead recovered from an ancient Roman ship that once sunk off the coast of Sardinia?

It's great to see how sicentists from different labs work together to unravel the secrets of our universe.

  • Great work; look forward to hearing about further successes!

  • i would like to but my hand on that NEUTRINOS!

just kiddin that was good video

  • she's got back!

  • How big will CERN grow?

Now also italy, the next would be germany I think.

    But great video (but I don't know why there's 1 264.mov...)!

  • The Firefox detector ... lol

  • @SeltsamerAttraktor Naa... to slow.. I'm waiting for the Chrome detector!

  • Nice video!

    Science, it works!!

    Intelligence +Skirt + ladder = Sexxy!!

  • The English is more than fine...if they would speak European languages you Americans would complain. Be happy.

  • "cern_news1 264.mov"? I hope CERN will upload videos in HD in the future.

    Good video anyway.

  • @nuttex there are many hd movies

  • That's Awesome!

  • woot TAU NEUTRINOS!

  • haha

  • Comment removed

  • I speak very bad english too, :P I'm from the dutch

  • OMG so much bad english. But othervise very good video.

  • @nikodormius You mean to write "Oh my God! There's so much bad English. But, otherwise it's a very good video."

    :-)

  • @dusthat That were exactly my thoughts.

  • I guess it was very exciting that they forgot to set a title for the video, heh. Congratz anyway

  • OMG
