The sound up in the circle was atrocious. Shrill treble and the instrument miking mix/balance was all over the place (brass does not need so much amplification!). Drums and accordion were overly emphasised. Still, an excellent performance by Beirut in a less than perfect venue. Sadly, the fabulously talented Merril Garbus and tUnE-yArDs set was mashed by the abysmal O2 Brixton Academy sound system.
