  • Works better if you put soap on the PVC won't do anything to your board. And you can also just take a few 12ft 2/4s and a sheet of ply wood and build a minor drop then make a kicker out of flexy ply then move your rail to the front of kicker and bam you have a 24ft rail and drop in. Drop in only has to be 3 feet then you take plastic construction fence and lay it over the ply wood and spray dish soap and water and you'll slide better tha Snow

  • why would u where your gogles in the middle of summer??? 2:55

  • Yo needs a drop in

  • What's the song ?

  • Sic I am making a 10 foot rail with 4 PVCs

  • awesome vid... best rail building vid ive seen but im not sure how u guys did the feet at the bottom... did you lay it flat and screw the supports into the top? cuz from the vid it looks like its just kinda like its helping balance... please respond im tryin to get mine ready before the season starts... thanks dude

  • What size PVC rail did you use? 3/4in 1inch? 2inch?

  • i can use this for skateboarding right?

  • Nice video but I couldn't find a 12 foot PVC only a 10 foot

  • if the grass don't slide, wet it like your rail, it'll slide a lot better.

  • way to ruin the cure

  • i have a 10 foot long by 4 inch thick single pvc pipe... that'll work right?

  • @BehannaKC Sure it would, I wuldnt see why not. just a wider piece of pipe so you dont have to buy all of those smaller ones but you would get the flatness like a flat bar

  • The snowboarder is the fag.

  • The skier is the fag

  • ok the dimensions on these are all messed up and the steps are really confusing.. you said to set up 2 pieces of 2x6 18 in. 90 degrees at the ends of the 12 foot 2x6. . then you said cut the 12 foot 2x6? are there more than 1 12 foot 2x6? and it seems alot smaller in the video..

  • you need some astroturf and a jump my friend

  • not a rail?

  • for under 50 dollers wtf.... clearly ppl watching this dont have that kind of money or they would just buy a built rail

  • @thesoccerboy20 a sttel rail is alot more than 50 bucks

  • get rid of the queer music , my god man. what would make somebody do that ?

  • this is great jib i made it myself and it works really well

  • if you put snowboarding wax on PVC pipe will it melt?

  • i got supplies for an 8 foot one for $12 only using one 2 inch rail though but still

  • Tactical mute ready , turn the key ...... tactical mute incommmming , its all over !!!!

  • Thank you for making this, I didn't make the same grind rail but it was fun to watch.

  • it was $10 for 12ft of PVC pipe?

  • Dude, Buy a skateboard

    For under 50$ hah

  • song is gay s fuck

  • @NextExitSkiing matter of opinion i happen to think ski'ing is gay as fuck... but i like this song!

  • @NextExitSkiing YOU ARE GAY AS FUCK

  • @MichaelZ93 touche

  • suprised it doessnt snap

  • pretty sick.. but why did the skier wear goggles?

  • Yo, sick! your skis wont get caught in teh holes in the pvc?

  • can it work 4 skateboards

  • @JCaraway2010 yeah proly

  • if u have the extra money it it a good idea to buy pressure treated wood instead so that way it wont rot in the snow, other than that the rail is sick!

  • u look like juystin bieber :-l

  • @mikey47B

    justin bieber is gay

  • Wow thanks, looks like a great rail and easy to build.

  • the only thing o found in my rail that works better is putting a bolt at the end of each pipe and then drilling up for the anchors, otherwise a solid plan ill put up a vid of my rail sometime haha

  • thx guys this was a simple and a good 2 build and cheap. i did use it like 1,80 long and 40 cm high. :D

  • If you dont have the bucks to spend go by a local construction place, ask em if they got any scrap wood and pvc....have 2 15 foot rails and a box, all for free...asks 4 screws too

  • gaper...

  • needs more supppoerts but otherwise good

  • Thanks so much! We just built a ten foot rail in one hour now were gonna shred it up tomorrow, we got 10 inches of snow!

  • lol nice rail, learn to ride tho

  • why the hell almost every video i watch that are abot how to make a homemade rail or grindbox always have dogs??

  • LOL! snowboard fag :P

  • 3:39 "gnarly" shorts

  • @TheZebraStripedWhite where did u get the pvc pipes from because i cant find any?

  • @TheZebraStripedWhite You can use the same basic frame to build all kinds of boxes and rails. If I get around to making more I will definitely make a video!

  • cool i chink im goin to make one like yours with my dad

  • nice rail and i like this song it makes me think of you

  • ruined with the damn song

  • Thanks to you guys i have my own 12 foot pvc rail. Keep up the good work and thanks alot :)

  • @s043379494 No problem! Glad it worked for you. Ours is still standing strong after a year and a half, still has the original wood and PVC on it!

  • now you drilled holes in the pvc pipe. now is it me or would ur edge hit that and fuck u up

  • how much exactly did the wood cost and could you get the pvc at like lowes or some store like that?

  • @indiekid79 Check the description. About $20, and from Home Depot so yeah.

  • 50 $ is alot

  • @airjordan55555

What are you a hobo, I use 50's instead of tp

  • ontville57-how can a rail be to high u fucking idiot!!! and ya there on fucking grass so obviosuly they cant to anything cool, what a dick!!!

  • you cant get grass stains if your on snow

  • lol the kid on the skis fell

  • put down a tarp then put water and soap on it and slide down it then

  • you said the pvc needs to equal 6 inchs but 3 1 and a half inch pipes equals 4.5 inches what size should i use can you help me

  • i heard skis slide better on the snow...

  • for gay snowbaorders you shoud stick to carpet,

  • Now just paint it....Or take off the pvc put on metal pipe, then donate it to your local ski hill in exchange for season passes

  • Did the rail bend at all in the middle?

  • @charlietugwell i know........

  • dude you are brilliantly stupid

  • i bet that will break its not supported enough

  • i used 1 big one

  • Thanks, im gunna build mine this friday! :D

Also, where did you get your shirt??(the purple and blue one)

  • lol make a take off...

  • will it work good in snow?

  • @dmikrut yeah thats wat its meant 4

  • did you just filmed that from another clip??

  • Please dude... I had to turn off the sound

  • Dogg i need some cheap wood then it's goin down!

  • way too high u uys suck ass

  • @ontville57 dude...they have no speed and snow...and thats not high at all when theres snow. your retarded

  • when sliding on skis isnt it easy to catch an edge with the pvc?

  • I liked everything, except the song.

  • does the pvc eventually get worn out from edges grinding at it?

  • @rileyplant2 it will get worn down if you use it for skateboarding but not for snowboarding

  • u culda just bought one for 50 bucks u dumbass ((:

  • isnt the wood gonna ruin in the snow ??

  • @alexmaster71 pressure treated wood will work in the snow but you should paint it to protect it more

  • thats not pvc, its abs

  • would this also work on a skate board !

    plezz answer

  • @girgirbaker no fuckking shit sherlock

  • @girgirbaker it will work for a skateboard but you dont want it that high

  • pvc is plastic

  • WTF does PVC stand for

  • @Rutledge0 polyvinyl carbonate (a special plastic)

  • can i use metall ?

  • the holes you made to screw does it takes on the skis or you pass over it

  • u fuckin suck u shouldnt even have wasted the money building that

  • im gonna make this it looks sick

  • thats tight

  • Nice shoes (and rail !) ; D

    I like this pvc rails:

it's good for your board and it hurts a little bit less to crash on ; )

  • MR COORDINATION ?

  • omfg cant even find an good tutorial to make one with GOOD music.

  • bad ass man, thumbs up

  • not very sturdy

  • The black-Long things ------- is that plastic Metall or...? Plz answer me

  • @kiweg97 Plastic

  • @SkiingBK its abs dumbass not pvc

  • @kiweg97 it is PVC pipe

  • @kiweg97 PVC=Plastic

  • @kiweg97 its called pvc pipe( you can buy it at any homedepot or rona) and its cheaper than metal and it slides nice

  • how did this work in the winter?

me and my friend are making tons of rails and bbox's this summer

  • Is it stable?

  • hahaha all these rails suck i going to build a sweet rail i have all the metal legs to my old trap.. i will put a video up

  • Except you suck

  • instead of wetting it wax it

  • What type of wood do you need?!? Do you need a special kind or does any wood work?

  • What type of wood do you need?!?!?!? Anyone, can you just have normal wood or does it have to be a special kind?!?!?

  • Do you need any type of wood?!?!?

  • nice rail ;P

  • amazing!

  • how wuld u make it a little wider, could u put 2 2by 4s together???

  • @GOJAGS555

put a 2x8 on the top instead, 2 2x4s would be weak

  • you shouldn't drill through the pvc you should attach bolts on the end through the bottom and then skrew through the bottom with short screws that dont go through the top.

  • @ckernshrednh

    both ways work just fine

  • @ckernshrednh the holes on the top dont make any difference

  • might want some snow eh

  • can u use 2 pvc's instead of 4?

  • @jonge95

YOU CAN EVEN USE 3!@! OMG@!@!@!

You can use whatever number you like 1,2,3,4,69, it doesn't matter it should just cover your wood(no homo) as best you can get it to

  • lmao good shitt, kk thanx

  • What moron voted all of the comments poorly?? Anyway, nice vid, I'm thinking about making one today.

  • 2:56 hahaha total fail, nice video

  • do you need any special type of wood?

  • thanks i will go and get the wax and all i did to make more suport is put in an extra leg on in the middle and its great.if you built this rail with nails it would fail so build it with screws

  • no i mean were the legs connect to the 2x4 they fell apart as soon as you hit it.

  • You probably didn't secure them well enough. I used like 4 screws per leg and have never had a problem

  • I built this rail and it was the worst thing EVER. there was no support. If you want a good rail DONT build this one!!!

  • make more supports thats alll

  • @24Gladiator24

You didn't make it properly; it's impossible to bend a 2x4 on edge so this rail can't be bent if made properly

  • i built this rail in the last two weeks. it is very nice but the only problem i have is that now i have a tone of marks on the bottom of my board. is there anything to fix that

  • @itsallgood7787

Get a hot wax from your local board shop

  • Nice idea.

PCV is less damaging to skis and snowboards too, I like it. In the winter you could put snow in between the pipes and make it nice and slippery.

  • @isphoodman we didn't know exactly what we'd need at first so we had extra

  • also,......run a bead of liquid nails on the underside of the pvc before you screw it onto the 2x6......that'll give it extra strength

  • spray the top of the pvc with silicone spray.......that'll slicken it up....

  • Very well, it's at least as slippery as boxes/rails at real mountains

  • how much did it cost?

  • $45 canadian

  • how much is that american?

  • it cost me 30$

  • if you want a summer setup get/make a small ramp and put in on a hill throw the rail behind it, screw astro turf into the hill and the ramp(however long u want the run-in) and right after the rail do the same thing for the landing. You can wet the astro turf to make it even slipperyer, should work great XD

  • i just made one using this video and it worked perf.

    great vid

  • Glad it worked out

  • hahahahah 2:55

  • can you grind with a skateboard?

  • Yes

  • post the instruction on your page bro

  • K thats ABS, not pvc. Good choice tho ABS is like 10 kajillion times stronger and loner lasting

  • do u no how cold it can withstand?

  • does the PCV crack

  • PVC does, pvc is white pipe.

They used ABS, its black, way stronger, little more expensive but still dirt cheap and wont crack for like 3 seasons. PVC does crack, ABS the stuff they used, doesnt

  • i cant get the screw to go through the pvc it keeps slippi'ng what do i do

  • Drill a pilot hole

  • try harder haha

  • you have to drill a hole first, then put the screw in.

  • youre probably gonna catch your edge if you land inbetween the pvc's

  • Nope

  • i made this rail with 3 2x4s under the 2x6 and it was really sturdy

  • Can u list the things i need

  • description.

  • Just finished my PVC rail using your video as a blue print, but I used liquid nail instead of screwing the PVC in. I will let you know how it works
