I personally wouldn't plant veggies in the front yard its a weird place to do that ,some drunk can take a leak in the middle of the night when i am asleep and other health concerns would stop me from doing that and just but some flowers and put the veggies in the back yard.

I was recently driving through a fascinatingly well to do neighborhood and saw a VERY similar (boxed in like this) garden in their front yard, right by the road. I smiled and thought "good for them." They will eat healthy so long as the micromanagers of all things "evil" leave them alone. In this "go green" mentality gov't,They should be applauding them for this. They should also allow people to hang laundry in their fancy yards too-to "save the planet" and all.

The homeowner was NOT smart about the veggie garden.Many gardeners know about these regs & design our front yard veggie/fruit gardens so as not to call attention to them. It prevents people stealing the veggies.It's easy to design it too because most people can't tell a sweet potato vine from English ivy, or deer tongue lettuce from hosta.This person was just being plain lazy, imo.Worse is the yard police will be scrutinizing EVERYONE's front yard more.Thanks a lot, dummy.
