I listened to this man speak last night, and he was absolutly spot on in all regaurds. I was very pleased, and I am EXTREMELY uspet over the tone of John Shimkus, as long ago I have stopped refering to CO2 as CO2. It is now PF to me, plant food. Rep. Shimkus can kiss my merry arse on his way to political suicide once the scientists finally are able to break through all the politicians and get the REAL inconvinient truths out there without being cencored

Most people who research start with two premises; that CO2 has gone up in the atmosphere, and that the temperature has also gone up. Naturally, they conclude these are related, which is marginally true.

It is very much political. This winter we've had the most snow we've had in 20 years. Climate is changing constantly. Scientists from both sides have arguments that sounds valid, but not both can be right, so clearly there's a political motivation. Oil companies are sailing up as the suppliers of Hyrogen fuel, so who benefit from funding the "deniers"?
@GodOfPlague Venus is so hot because of its atmosphere, which causes a runaway greenhouse effect. With a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere like Earth's, Venus would be quite similar to earth. Significantly hotter, but habitable, and not the pressure cooker it is right now. The bigger issue is its extremely slow rotation though.

Amen. I left the "church" when I found that Gore and the others have heaps to benefit personally from promoting Global warming and implementing a Global Carbon Tax. The scientists speaking up against the hysteria has some very good points, so now I want real proof from the Doom-sayers. Or they can come up with a new form of energy that is clean and available for everyone, not a Carbon-Taxed World of scarcity.
Humans inhale Oxygen for respiration and exhale Carbon dioxide as a bi product.
Plants respiration is opposite they use carbon dioxide and emit Oxygen. It's why air did not run out millions of years ago.
It's like locking people in an air tight safe.
The less O2 you pump into that safe the less people that enviroment will support the more oxegyn you pump in the more people you can support in that enviroment. It's common sense.

Global Warming refers to increasing radiative forcing.
(The amount of heat in the world is going up)

The large misconception about all this though is that the heat is not spread uniformly across the world. It instead sloshes around.

Venus is much closer to the big burning ball of gas we call the SUN. Therefore no matter what it's atmospheric makeup it will be hotter than all hell.
If we were to swap earths position and venus's within the solar system we'd all be dead quickly due to the sweltering merciless sun
