Those who decide to wage war are psychopaths. They don't value human life if they can easily condemn and kill the life of another. They think only for themselves, with no regards to others. Leaders who wage war, people who call for war, those who kill, those to push others down, those who have no bonds with humanity aren't human. They are demons.
if this film urges you to hate an entire nation then know you are planting the same bad seed in your heart that creates wars .humans are weak creatures that can cooperate to live happily this short time on earth. planting joy in somebody's heart is priceless as planting hate. I observed many hatred comments towards USA & Japan, and this is not what i hoped or desired to come out as a result of showing this film. long live to the people of USA & Japan & all earth.
@Sweetsaimaithai Our governments suck. We're still human and it's not like it was our decision. I'm sure we've would've stopped our government if we actually could. US government's fault for dropping the bomb but every government's (including Japan's fault) for taking part in the war.
@Sweetsaimaithai We are NOT the only country who has caused harm to others, so you can /fuck right off/. What an ignorant, stupid, moronic, unintelligent, uneducated, biased, shallow, stereotyping, CUNT thing to say.
@Sweetsaimaithai No fuck you. As much as I don't agree with what happened, don't go bashing a country that isn't the only one consumed with violence. Don't go generalizing an entire country for what happened in the PAST.
@OverlordIX its because and only because he was bend over behind the cover of a stone wall. If it were not for that fact he would have met the same fate as the girl next to him.
And to all the people who say the Japanese deserved it for the Nanking Massacre and the like: Stop treating a country with millions of individual people, with varying beliefs, opinions, and experiences, as if it were a single-minded body. Every country involved in WW2 had its monstrous actions. None of them justify any of the others.
I had first day of college today and during the subject 'Japanese stories', the professor show the part 3:24 - 9:25. I was like totally shocked and the whole class was too I think, cuz it was totally silent after the clip...
I've never seen something more impacting than this in my whole life. I'm scared to death right now after watching this. I'm never cried in horror!!!!!!! This is not something to be proud off, I might go to hell for wishing this, but I hope people who planned the dropping of the bombs and the perpetuators of this act TO FUCKING BURN IN HELL! This is MONSTROUS! I fucking wished they had a slow, miserable, and painful death. FUCK THEM! And the FUCK the leaders in this period.
oh, I didn't hear that (or do you mean in real life?). I'm certain so many Americans felt hell in their hearts after this and sadly, many felt casual too. I was just pointing out how it was done in the movie.
The pilot of the plane, Enola Gay, a man called Paul Tibbets has never expressed any remorse or regret for his actions. he is even quoted as saying "I'm proud that I was able to start with nothing, plan it, and have it work as perfectly as it did... I sleep clearly every night." as well as "If you give me the same circumstances,I'd do it again."
Yes, they felt that time alot of pain in their hearts... but how many of the actualy living americans could feel the same? They feeling fear of terrorists, fear of another coutries developing in science... but no more compasion among the most of them. And that's the result of the world's politics... Of course, all the nations on the planet would be blamed at some point to have this situation now... But who does really cares? Right now we have only the "big bully" in our lives... in our hearts
hmm...i don't mean to sound stupid, but the ants...of course they can know when bad weather is coming and stuff like that, but how did they sense the bomb coming? when it was on a lone plane, ants don't come running every time a plane flies over...
still, I think that is such a powerful affect.
This such a beautiful movie, everytime I see the clock or calender, I cry.
They've lessened the blood and the flesh, the book series made me sick, even in black and white pictures.

Well, i find its japans fault, it was going to happen one way or another, GUESS WHAT EVERYONE! we were planning to nuke them 6 more times. 8 times in total. after that, we were going to deploy over 1,500,000 troops to slatter the whole population of japan. i find japan lucky to have surrendered. but yet they were stupid. They should of surrendered after we warned them about the second nuke. But nope. another nuke....Well, there was 2 reasons why we nuked. Threat on los angles and san fransico...
0.o you have some of your facts mixed up. First off those were the ONLY 2 nukes we had at the time. We sent a letter to them warning them we had more but it was a bluff. We needed to end to war with Japan quick to focus more effort fighting Germany. But we did warn them we had the bombs before we sent them off so in a way your right about that. Study a little more History before you comment on things this big.
