These foreclosures will have to be stunted at some point, and the longer we wait the harder it is to re-strengthen the market. Another issue besides passing a bill concerning lending, we also need better enforcement on licensing for Real Estate agents & lending agents. We need a national licensing laws with minium requirements for companies & individuals, on having to maintain a office or operation. Example - we need national & local inspectors in the Real Estate & lending industry.

I work with as a loan officer. I am in favor of these new laws. My company is very strict about disclosing every detail about a loan we write up. We are recorded on our final approval call and an auditor will follow that call help to make sure we did things right. I think it's important that people understand that some of the problems in the mortgage crisis stems from deregulation of lending institutions by Congress and both President Clinton and Bush.
