  • how much are they?

  • @yapster5995 Check out DrumART's web site. They have pricing there.

  • do these static cling decals work on coated drum heads?

  • @onthedrums3 I'm not exactly sure. But you might try sticking a static cling sticker of some kind to the head to see if it stays on. That might tell you if it'll work or not.

  • How should I do it with a gas stove?

  • @dheim293 Hmmmm. Put the soup can into a frying pan that sits on the gas stove? :-)

  • @scherer77 I just held the can over the fire for like a minute and it worked :P Thanks for the video!

  • @dheim293 Really?

  • JESUS IS IN THE CUTTING BOARD!

  • is it safe?

  • @MrHoihoi14 Yeah it's safe. Just wear an oven glove when handling the hot can.

  • on drum art(.)com do they also make bass heads with the graphic on the head already?

or they only got a big sticker for the head?

  • @DjABBlends Yes they do both. They can print directly onto a bass drum head, or deliver a removable static cling decal. Honestly you can't tell the difference between the two. You might think you'd be able to, but even up close, you can't tell.

  • damn I tried this using a cooking pan then it happened my skin broked it became crunchy.

  • do u know how big the hole should be?

or do u just need it big enough to put ur mic in?

  • @Titleification I don't know that there are any rules about size, but a 4 inch diameter hole is fairly standard.

  • @scherer77 thanks man

  • @Titleification You can go up to 6 inches before it starts to become pointless to put a port hole in a drum head

  • @Titleification about from 4 in to 6 in if u want to make it bigger just do 6 1/2 in or 7 in

  • It's called an oven glove! :D

  • I tried this method but it is not easy. The easiest way to open up a port hole is to get a kickport which comes with a 3M plastic ring which lets you cut a hole with a X-ACTO type knife. Clear and easy and plus you get a kickport as extra bonus to enhance the sound of your bass drum.

  • Hey! That's cool! Um.. don't mind me asking... Why create a port hole in your bass drum?

  • @feelhysteria195 If you are needing to mic your bass drum, you can get a much better sound if you put the microphone inside of the drum. So creating a port hole allows you to stick the microphone inside of the drum.

  • @scherer77 Thanks a lot man! I'll be sure to try it one day.
