That said, I completely disregard the Murray's opinion.
Senna drove against Lauda, Prost, Rosberg, Piquet, Mansell, all really great talented and world-champions, Senna was the king between these 'monsters'. Who were the 'great' rivals of MS? D. Hill?? J. Villeneuve?? Coulthard?? Hakkinen?? MAKES ME LAUGH! Hall of gods: Fangio-Senna-Clark.
Michael Schumacher is the best because of the things he has done. The record he has in F1 is phenomenon. Like in the video, a double champion leaving to join Ferrari a sleeping giant at that time and bring the success to it is extraordinarily. Technically he is brilliant couple with a desire to win, enable him to drive under extreme pressure and difficult conditions. He is the rain man for god sake. Senna is the quickest no doubt but this is Formula 1 it is a competition over more than one lap

Machinery. 1988, Senna beats Prost. Between them they won every race for McLaren-Honda. No other car was remotely close. The competition was MUCH stiffer during Michael's glory years.
Schumacher beat Senna in his first full year in F1. He was destroying Senna in 1994, the year Senna perished. Senna's main competitors were Prost and Mansell, whichever had a decent car. Nobody else was ever close. Schumacher had three world champions in Hill, Hakkinen, and Villeneuve. The older guys had all retired by this time and, taking 7 out of 11 titles from 1994 to 2004, Michael didn't leave much room for any new champions to happen.
to 1994 it was Senna, Mansell, Prost and Piquet s ages. from 1994 to 1999 ok let say the cars ages. But from 2000 to 2006 it was schumis age with f1 golden age by supporters and the money. Case and point is, look at him against Rosberg now, aint much to choose between them.

Im surprised for Murray making this statement. He should have been more precise and realistic. Senna died in 10th year of his career. while schumi drove 20 years. @dks11000 He didn't. He stayed with Mclaren in '92 and '93 when Mclaren was no longer dominant and he knew the car was not the best on the grid. Had some of his best races, however in 1993 which proved what an amazing driver/racer he was . It was 2 years before he could sign for Williams.

3 titles (of wich 1 was doubtful ) in the dominant winning team of Mclaren-Honda. 16 counted collisions with other drivers. He could do magic for sure! But the best ever he is not.

Senna had a very fast car but since traction control was banned for the '94 season it was very difficult to drive, nervous at the back, unpredictable and would often step out without warning. Senna stuck it on pole because of his brilliance as a racing driver and his ability to extract the best from ANY car he happened to be driving. To drive the FW16 as he did to put it on pole in every race was nothing short of genius.

Im surprised for Murray making this statement. He should have been more precise and realistic. Senna died in 10th year of his career. while schumi drove 20 years. @dks11000 He didn't. He stayed with Mclaren in '92 and '93 when Mclaren was no longer dominant and he knew the car was not the best on the grid. Had some of his best races, however in 1993 which proved what an amazing driver/racer he was . It was 2 years before he could sign for Williams.

Senna had a very fast car but since traction control was banned for the '94 season it was very difficult to drive, nervous at the back, unpredictable and would often step out without warning. Senna stuck it on pole because of his brilliance as a racing driver and his ability to extract the best from ANY car he happened to be driving. To drive the FW16 as he did to put it on pole in every race was nothing short of genius.
