Neil Carter - Keys,Guitar and Vocals.......Jon Noyce-Bass.........Darrin Mooney-Drums...... and of course, the very talented Gary Moore. All these musicians are very talented in their own right. Google to get info...........Peace!
Oh what I love this song !!! Its one of the best EVER !!! It knocked me when I heard it the first time... Its so beautiful :-) Gary Moore is a Hero , a complete guitar genious . He is now Over the hills and far away... RIP .
@Claptonblues55 Google found nothing. That's why I'm asking here.
Maybe because it is to "new", or maybe because it is a live version. I don't know. But if I found something on google, then I would not try to figure it out by myself...
What a bloody dumb idiot who filmed the gig. Unbelievable that the guitar-paying of the solos weren´t filmed. It´s a shame and I don´t understand why the man behind the camera switches to the drummer or bassist while Gary´s playing a solo of a new song? Beat him.
It´s so sad that he hasn´t got the chance to record the new celtic-stuff and much more I´m sorry that a man who was a hero of my youth is almost gone for a year. How fast time goes by, but we will never forget Gary until we follow him.
"Live at Montreux 2010" is great, Gary Moore's last filmed concert, but compared to "Live at Montreux 1990" or even to his 80's concerts, you can clearly hear and see, that his playing technique was much better and cleaner back then. I am a huge fan of Gary Moore and his music (just check out my channel). In terms of musicality and playing technique, i definitely prefer his 1982-1992 stuff.
@DVova2008 I got them from my father, who is also a huge fan of Gary Moore. He collected those bootlegs over 30 years.
No doubt, Gary Moore has great songs with very good lyrics (especially the early blues stuff 1990-1992) and a great voice, though he is not the best singer (definitely a better blues/bluesrock singer than a hardrock singer), but it's his guitar playing (especially the 80's stuff) what makes him so outstanding. That's why i uploaded a few unique pieces of his 80's guitar work.
I saw Jon Noyce (the bassist, is that how you spell his name?) in Cannock earlier this year at a soul revue, it was at the Prince of Wales theatre. I thought it was a cheesy tribute night, but oh no........... it was no other than Gary US Bonds and no other than Ben E King. Fuckin' unbelievable, those legends in front of me, in a small theatre in the midlands, and on bass guitar........... Jon Noyce, who has just done a decade of gigs with Gary Moore. This was about 1 month after Gary died....
@PMAR09 How he kept playing I have no idea idea, and I don't know how many people in that small theatre knew what he was possibly going through, but at least I had the slightest idea. That was a great night for me to see and hear some living legends, but I was also so close to tears for Jonathan, knowing what must have been so very distressing for him.
@PMAR09 Your comment reminded me of seeing Gary Moore playing "parisenne walkways" in Germany in early '86, only a few months after Phils passing. Believe me, no one in audience said a single word & I felt the silence even louder than the music. Sadly, now the cirlcle has closed,- but that's the way of life. When I look at this video, I realise that even now , he could rock the ass of anyone half his age. Cheers from Berlin..
@tdchagas after just one listen i myself would have to say absolutely this song tells the story of their close but stormy relationship Philip was always the Wild one and wrote about it several times in his songs, great upload here i look forward to seeing much more from this show when I can buy it on DVD. Gary you and Phillip will always be rockin every night in in heaven now!
