Hairless rats are amazing! My Hairless rat has had a lot of health problems, but she keeps getting better and she is living a normal life. I do think I will get a furred rat next time, or maybe a Manx. But I love Rats :D

Why do people breed hairless rats? It is obviously a mutation of the gene that is highly undesirable in nature. The rat is lacking something that which it needs to protect it from the elements and various other things.

That rat also has severe eye problems it seems (It wouldn't be the owners fault, but it comes with the hairless gene)

Sure they are "Cute" But at what price does their cuteness cost?

P.S It was actually a nice video, it's just sad that hairless rats are promoted and bred.

@Ingiequeen I couldn't agree more, i love hairless rats.. but as you said they have a lot of issues and health problems. It doesn't matter how "cute" they are if they cant live a normal life and even have problems producing milk to their babies. I don't se any problem with hairless animals as long as they are healthy. Im glad to hear that people take it more seriously than just "cute and funny". Nuki and Weedo where my loving little fellows, but i think people need to breed more wisely! :)
