  • Remember when this clip first got out. I had it on repeat =P

  • I still prefer this to the album version... the intro... the speed... everything, it's just so much more badass

  • man, jpj is groovin to the music like a motherfucker!

  • Saw these guys in Edinburgh.....They are probably one of the best bands I have ever seen, at least in my top 5, I'm 40 years old and have seen a few bands..............

  • They Rockkkk!!!!!

  • i love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Except its not on the hi hat...

  • oh shit its a disco hi hat pattern and it still rocks!

  • It's actually on the china and floor tom. Just sayin'.

  • cool, look at josh tuning his guitar while he's singing..

  • @YamsiFflow Kinda like Kurt Cobain in the Rape Me video

  • het was echt zo geweldig!

ik hoopte al dat zij het zouden zijn!!

  • I' m waited for that super-band like this fuckin' amazing

  • Super band! Yes! Wonderband!

  • ignorant piece of crap.

  • fuckin awsome!!

  • don't take your eye of the future, but never forget the past

  • Is that guitar effect a Moog or Auto-Wah or something?

  • incredible performance and song

all of these guys are world class, and homme in my opinion is the most important man in music

  • fuckin awesome song

  • I was there but man.... I WANNA GO AGAIN!!

  • Stops at 2:07 for me. Great somg though.

  • what do u mean stops at 2.07?

  • uhm I thought there were only three guys in the band, John Paul Jones, Dave Grohl, and Josh Homme...

Is the fourth guy a session musician?

  • alain johannes, best guitarist ever! only live player

  • fuckin a, alain is so underrated

    what a line up

  • alain johannes , plays with queens of the stone age.

  • i got tickets to see them i plymouth i cant wait....i think this is the best supergroup since cream

  • I love this band. Very excited to see them again. They are so much fun. You really must get to a show, because from what I have heard live---- they are fabulous. Very quirkey and different. I must admit I never witnessed QOTSA, so I am missing that point of reference. John Paul Jones is an amazing bass player. FUN!

  • I have NEVER seen Josh play a tele, he fucking rocks it big time.

  • This reminds me a lot of the song "Era Vulgaris"

  • Yep.

  • Hmmm... catchy...and yet genuinely very good!!

  • since when do he play with a Telecaster ?

  • I thought the exact same thing. He's still able to rock it though.

  • yeah^^ I know

  • He plays so much different guitars its crazy

  • This sounds realy rock and rollish.. great song!

  • we have music and internet to make new friendships to discover each other.we must get united through things we like.we have enough dick heads (government, politicians) who are making walls between us so stop playing hard and tough.if you dont like something or someone just stfu and do what you like.who cares about stupidity and ignorance.

  • We're really calling other countries shitty? I could swear that globalization and the internet peaked on empirialistic, blind patriotism years ago. Wiggy.

  • this riff is so sexy ;p

  • Is it official that the album drops oct 23 or is that speculation?

  • false info that some assholes faked no where near official

  • shit i dont want to wait to hear it

  • Josh Homme seems like such a cool guy

  • musicusaddictus - how about you stfu. I'm pretty sure that pathologicalwhatever wants an album just as much as everyone else, he's just trying to illustrate how a CD only does so much, and that by not releasing one, fans would be more inclined to see a live concert

  • you can hope but in fall this year the album will be released.I want it everyone want it so stfu.

  • I hope this band never releases an album. It would be nice but the truth is everyone should see this show. I saw the debut show at the Metro and it was an hour and fifteen minutes of mind blowing rock. Warsaw was the coolest song I've ever seen a band perform live. It was incredible.

  • completely agree hehehe, no album please

  • And people who live in a distant country, like Iceland?? Don't be fool.. I live in Brazil and it will take long time to see their show.. so we need a CD.. and more festivals.. a world tour + cd..

  • Brazil isn't a shitty country.. Jimmy Page bought a house here man.. Plant & Page played a lot of times here.. did u ever heard about Rock In Rio??

I saw Live 8 too.. but here it sucked.. I saw Jethro Tull, Deep Puple and Ozzy once.. just about a few meters of my home.. don't be fool and egoist.. I hope Them Crooked Vultures make a world tour, including here.

  • no country is shitty.....some individuals here and there are :P

  • the best concerts I have ever seen were in Brazil

  • Fuck you mental retarded.. No, you don't rock ok?

  • No man, I'm satisfied with my country.. The only reason i get pissed off with you is that you were unlucky to give a bad treat to people of other countries ok? bye.

  • You got a stone where the brains should be...definitely!

  • You really are a dickhead saying such things...a shame to your country. Use your mouth sucking foreigners' dick instead of speaking such rubbish! Fuckin cunt you are!

  • Yeah pal, if you want to insult me in English you should probably learn to speak it properly. I'm just stating the obvious. It isn't my fault that you people don't get the shows we do here in America. I mean we don't get the health care system that most of Europe has. I guess you weigh out your priorities. It is funny watching you people get so pissed, by the way, Them Crooked Vultures was fucking incredible again for the second time a week and a half ago.

  • ah ok =)

  • Most bands say that about every crowd they play to, only retards believe it.

  • That is just not true.

  • to be honest, the first time i heard about this, i was like 'FUCK YEAH!', then i started having doubts...kinda like the thought of ian gillian with sabbath, i mean, it's a good idea but is it really?

then i heard this, and thank god this is not born again. :)

  • Good analogy . Page and Paul Rodgers "The Firm"were another example. Looks great on paper ,but....... Most " supergroups" lack any material worthy of their individual and collective talents. TCV ,I believe are an exception .

  • THERE YA, GO WAKE UP!!!

  • Focking nice

  • That's such a tasty riff, this is probably my favorite TCV song I've heard yet!

  • rockin' a tele

  • I dont get one thing.IF someone dont like TCV why is he flaming shit here ? just go watch Metro station and shit bands like them.

  • The dude that is filming this stood right in front of us. Blocking my PoV a little too. Sorry for the slight bruise mate.

  • what the fuck are you talkin about?

  • May you be bitten to death by a gang of herpetic midgets.

  • hey how about you form a band and show us wtf you're talking about? oh wait! you can't pff geriatric fuck.

  • Has the album been realeased yet? I hope they sell it in Brazil

  • One of the first videos released from these guys showed them in a studio setting with studio recorded music dubbed in. I think we will likely hear some studio recordings at some point.

  • yes thats right.Alain + Natasha (RIP) were in qotsa after the 4th album was released. They toured with qotsa. After the tour they quit qotsa cuz of their own band Eleven.Alain is a very good friend of Josh for many years.

  • Who's the other guitarist?

  • His name is Alain Johannes, he played in Queens of the Stone Age, Eleven and many other bands.

  • hot!

  • they sound like gorbachov !!! hahahahahahaha

  • they play together coz they love to play.its so hard to understand ?

  • They should never bring out an album, or only a live registration after a few years.

If they stay true to the concept it's only possible to play live, and no studio shit, otherwise it will become a 'regular' band.

They don't need the money anyway.

  • ...the hell? What concept?

Let them do what they want. I'm sick of music elitists thinking that they know what's best for a band.

  • hahaha, well just meant I would really enjoy the fact if they would just keep it a live band.

The concept is the way they approached it untill now, no official releases, no music out before the performance, the mystery of the band. It's a typical marketing concept untill now. That concept.

No elitist way of thinking at all, just naming what is to be seen.

  • huh. funny, the concept is making music and bringing it to people in any way possible. and, I dunno about you, but it seems that for the past, well, one hundred or so years, passionate musicians have released their music on gramophone, vinyl, cassette, cd, and mp3 so they could optimize the amount of people that hear their art. Not everyone has the time or money to go to live shows, ass.

  • you'll probably agree that a record is not the same 'art' as a live show, completely different. plenty of ways to hear their music these days anyway.

and why would you do it the same way as they do it for hundred years? you're able to watch it now aren't you?

I like a bit of mystery. Can I say that?

  • I see your point. I just got the impression that you were saying that the band should do something different because it was better for them, or something. My mistake, and I retract my earlier vitriol.

... part of that was also the fact that, as Josephdorf said, I don't have the money/time to really see a whole lot of live shows, haha.

  • Actually, recorded music originally began as a means of promoting live performances.

  • ur a fucken idiot

they need to release an album so people all around the world can enjoy their music

p.s bands make about 75% of their money from live shows

  • ur a fucken idiot, whatever fucken means, for calling me (or others) a fucken idiot.

And they don't need to do anything.

  • take care of your own money, man. they do whatever they want. and i'm buying that album.

  • I was at the Chicago debut, I dont think I have ever been so deaf after a concert, but I could have thrown my hat at Homme i was so close, fanfuckingtastic concert!

  • fuck yeah.

  • yeah telecasters are the tits. josh was probably after that tone. mmmm.

  • EPIC SONG!

  • very nice indeed.

  • Freaking brilliant. Josh never fails with his riffs =) Love that sexy bastard.

  • Thought i would never live long enough to see Josh play a Tele

  • 2:50 = dave grohl win

  • thats groovy as fuck.

  • Pure GLORY

  • kick ass song!!! can't wait for the album to drop.....anyone know when???

  • 10/23/09

  • these guys!!!! REALLY KICK ASSSSSSS...

  • Comment removed

  • Great fucking song.

  • I was there, very close to the stage!

Have had this on repeat for half an hour and still cant get enough of it. Dave + Josh = WIN!

  • how do you put the video on repeat?

  • T H A N K Y O U !

  • you talk like you never graduated middle school

  • Is that Josh playing a tele?

    Whoa.

  • fuck, never seen him play a fender before. weird.

  • Well he and troy play a japanese Fender imitation in Misfit Love. But a Strato imitation, the Tele has another kind of sound that i tought he wouldn't go for

  • Yeah, that was a rare custom tempo, no surprise there but a tele? sounds great though.

  • dude you got linked by the band, word that happened to me a couple of times, great work, great spot, great sound, now lets get he studio album and a new american tour cooking what do you say

  • i was there! ll09

  • Except this is going to be much better than QOTSA has been for years.

JPJ is not a sideman, he is a primal & primary force to be reckoned with.

  • yes, that would be alain johannes. And if you read up on him, he's arguably just as interesting as the other vultures.

He (co-)produces most of the qotsa family stuff as well as play on it. Unfortunately, he was parted from his wife last year.

Kudos to you, uploader, for getting him in the frame and keeping him there.

  • Alain is my favorite guitarist in America (Josh being right up there too).

Eleven's Howling Book LP is one of my desert island must have discs.

  • who's the bold guy?!

  • Alain Johannes. He collaborated with Homme a couple of times. Looks like he's a touring guitarist, or something of that nature.

  • alain johannes

  • ta!

  • I NEED MORE!!!! Finally a band that does sound like a cookie cutter image of someone else! Thank you Dave, Josh and John!!!!

  • I've listened to this about 10 times on repeat, doesn't get old.

  • que puteria de Ritmoo!!!!!! que grupo mas buenooooooo!!!

  • killer riff

  • I need a full concert!!!!

  • Ah this is just amazing, as always

  • There's something very 'Era Vulgaris' (the song) about the chorus.

  • I second that.

  • love the drum break

  • Who is the 4th guy in the band????

  • alain johannes

  • homme makes that telecaster look like a toy haha

  • See how Alain was singing while playing that guitar solo-like thing? that's talent.

  • Gunman! Yup, this is the good stuff. Tasty! We've worked up an appetite... can't wait for the main course!

  • Great riff!!

  • YEEEEEAAH

  • sounds good high

  • sick

  • Not the best audio... but glad to see it!

  • Gunman. :)

  • Awsome!!!

  • hell YEEEAAAH
