I'm disappointed in toyota. With stiff competition like the 2012 hyundai sonata or new kia optima (that blows this camry away) I would think toyota would step it up with the redesign. But Toyota fell short, the new camry is bland. I'm actually glad the competition is starting to sell more because in the past toyota oversaturated the market and every street corner you turned there was 10 toyota camrys. ridiculous.

Design wise I think the Camry has a mix of Corolla in the front (headlights) and Honda Civic/'03-'07 Honda Accord with the chrome bar in the grill. Also, a mix of the last generation Camry, and Subaru Legacy(especially the taillights). Overall the has been a Camry designed for function, like the Lexus LFA, which looked better in concept form than the production car. This is what I thonk of the Camry, and of Toyota overall.

Although she does not specify what trim level her test car is I am pretty sure it is a XLE version, which comes with Moon roof, auto climate control, fog lamps, blue tooth and some of the other options I saw in that car. The XLE also comes with dual exhaust pipes. If you get the LE which is the most common and best selling version of the Camry you do not get any of that unless you want to pay more than the base price.

Stopped by and took a look at one today. Not really much to say or get excited about. It's a Camry. The interior is a little nicer. Great stitching in the leather, but other than that, it's the same vanilla the camry has always been.

The side view is the same as my 07 SE that I can't wait to trade in...so other than the tail lights from the side it's no different...the engine is a carry over, the transmission is the same, they just tweaked it to get slightly better mpg......funny that a girl wants "all wood" hehe....I could see a 50 year old driving it for sure, it's boring and safe.
