Recently I was queuing to get on a bus and there was this guy stopped in front of me, I assumed he was in the queue so I waited for him, I missed the bus as a result.

SO MANY LINES wide open but they walk slower.. and slower.... and slower............... and of course there isn't enough room to go by without nearly touching them...

This happens all the time in school. You would think that 9+ years of going into a hallway with other people, these High Schoolers would know that people walk behind them.
Worse than that though are the groups of people that purposely take up a large area in a walkway, no matter where, and usually in a choke-point of human mass. I wonder about the intellect of the society.

I'm actually a little surprised you didn't include the whole "Walking in the halls of school and then their friend starts walking and talking with them" which obviously makes them much slower, AND harder to get around.
I think the REAL truth, is that people nowadays simple won't move out of the way for others. Not because they're rude, but because they simple don't register those around them. With tiny children and elderly people its acceptable, but with teenagers and middle aged people, its seriously worrying that they haven't learnt to move out of the way. If you go to a busy supermarket, most people will just stop, and block and isle while they look or chat. These folks have no idea what they r doing!
I can add to this. In my town centre I get this often, where I'm walking along at a casual speed, then as I'm walking SOMEHOW Someone gets themselves in front of me from the side, and THEN they slow down after getting in front of me. THEN if I try to pick up pace and overtake them, they seem to pick up speed as I'm trying to get past them like 'hey this is my space your not overtaking my space', yet they won't go that after if there in front of me. Yeah, people are di*ks.
See, the problem is they are out of energy. If they had 5-hour energy in the morning, they'd scream "LET's F***ING DO THIS!" when they walk down the stairs of their home on the way to work.
Yep - Had the "lets all slow down for no reason" thing happen to me in the store a couple days ago. Group of 3 rushed out of the checkout line to get ahead of me then managed to spread out, take up all the space in front of me and walk at a snails pace. Happens in traffic too. You should come down here to Chile, they're the worst walkers in the world. They walk like four deep across the sidewalk slow as molasses and the only way to get around them is to walk out into traffic. I'm always thinking to myself "If this was New York these people would be getting trampled..."

A lot of people are selfish =/. I hate it when you're walking and someone or a group of people are comming towards you, and they act like they don't wanna move over! Or like they don't see you comming. Once I got tired of moving over for people and just kept walking and omg my shoulder hurt so bad the rest of the day....they ran right into me.

A lot of people are selfish =/. I hate it when you're walking and someone or a group of people are comming towards you, and they act like they don't wanna move over! Or like they don't see you comming. Once I got tired of moving over for people and just kept walking and omg my shoulder hurt so bad the rest of the day....they ran right into me.
