A shrine is built around the humble house of his birth as you may know. But I think you may have misinterpreted my reference to Putin. I am saying his actions in office have been to push toward an authoritarian government, as Stalin did. My focus is on Putin's actions, not Stalin or the way Georgians today feel about him.

The Russians used that as a reason to invade the Georgian territory of South Ossetia, but they have now gone well beyond that area and attacked several cities in other parts of Georgia, killing many civilians in the process.
