This music was only used once in the Doom games, yet it stays with me to this day. It has that "you are all alone" feel to it. I like it, as it increases the tension the player feels as they progress through the level.
the marine would shut his eyes, thinking for a moment as he heard the whimpering behind him, he had found five survivors. two young men...couldnt be older than 19, a young woman of about 27, an older gentleman that seemed to have been a scientist or analyst of some sort before things went to hell...and a little girl, no older than 10.
he was conflicted, he knew the extra numbers would slow him down, make him vulnerable. but he couldnt leave them . he had people to protect now as he pressed on
this song brings back crazy memories,i remember those brown fireball throwing pricks in the background with this song playing. my heart would be racing, and going .... ok motherfuckers, bring it on and booom!
this is classic, I used to dream of the day when I was listening to the MIDI version of this game, and wanted this to be on my cassette player :)))) ,and then onto mp3, and here it is, i'll say it took 17 years to get here and im loving every but of it
The marine, exhausted from his previous encounters with these... terrifying creatures from hell, had no idea what was in store for him in the Toxic Refinery. He dragged his feet as quietly as he could, holding the battered shotgun against his chestplate.
In the distance, he could hear the low growls of what was undoubtedly imps and zombies. He bit his lip, peering through his visor around the corner. They were there alri---Shit! They'd seen him. No choice now. Stand and fight or run and die.
one of the best doom songs next to phobos anomaly. phobos makes u feel like ur time is up... and that ur royally fucked. i didnt like the doom 2 and final doom midis, they had jazzier and more upbeat stuff.
Playing on the regular Xbox makes it feel more classic and like the nintendo yay to do Doom my first video game ever! or Sonic the hedgehog! either one was first!
Simply download a software called audicity which is free and just record and you'll get any sound layed out before you. You may need to ajust the volume settings because its very poor if its very loud whilst recording. Thats the simplist way.
how would one modify the WAD file on the original game to insert these tracks into it? I know it can be done - just don't know how.

@dwpalma
Not entirely sure how it's done, but you'd need a sourceport like ZDoom or something for it to work.

This song is really very peaceful, it encourages you to explore. It would also fit in a cave level.

This is the song of the game where it gets intense! First it was cool and fun, now it becomes serious and you have to be alert! Still, it's fun!

This song is so deep, dark, gritty and miserable to me--I love that. Thanks for posting this. I prefer this remix to the original..

I didn't care for the original Phobos Anomaly song. The remix was absolutely amazing though.
The Nuclear Plant level was a song which I really liked both original and remake

or use freecorder, it's an addon to your browser and records pretty much any sound.

Or,
listentoyoutube.com
Easier. Also try googling "download youtube" or "download youtube mp3", there are dozens.
Enjoy these awesome remixes on your ipod!
