  • ご冥福をお祈りします。

  • what exactly happened to Tom Price?

  • @t8035 another car had caught on fire. Two officials ran across the track with fire extinguishers. One made it across, but the other was hit by Tom Pryce. The fire extinguisher hit him in the head and killed him. His car continued down the track before crashing into another car and then a wall. There are a couple videos of the accident on youtube, but they are quite gory.

  • Hey, you miss Alberto Ascari, died 26th May 1955 in Monza (Italy)...

  • Ruhe in Frieden, Roland.

  • Ayrton Senna 4 ever !

  • I was live in imola 1994 with two friends and so many years later the emotions by this movie and pictures :((

  • sinto muito por todos os pilotos que deram suas vidas para trazer um pouco de emoção e alegria para nossas vidas :( fikem com deus e obrigado

  • i'd like to thank all the drivers who gave their lives for a sport that so many love r.i.p

  • why 12 dislikes???why

  • ご冥福をおいのりします・・・・・・・・・・

  • just so everyone knows... if youre confused about why you see ronnie peterson clearly concious and awake when they were taking him on the stretcher, its because his injuries did not kill him-- he had a blood clot kill him from fat embolism entering his blood vessel in his broken leg. no doctors were around when that happened. he was sleeping anyways. he basically suffocated from being clogged up in his arteries.

  • Thnx

  • whts the name of the music in the vedio ???????/

  • @HazemAboeldahab Requiem for a Dream

  • Very sad.

  • The journey to today's levels of safety and performance has cost such a high price. May they rest in peace and let us all be greatful for their sacrifice.

  • bellissimo video !!

  • bellissimo video !!

  • 2:46 WTF, big accident

  • did ratzenberger died in qualifying in senna during the race?

  • @dnyimu98 Yes, ratzenberger died during qualifying on saturday Senna on lap 7 on sunday.

  • @dnyimu98 - Ratzenberger died during final practice on the Saturday, not in qualifying.

  • @Hotspur2001 my friend, that's incorrect. in those day's there where 2 qualifyings. on friday and saturday. Roland crashed on qualifying on saturday. Becausse of this Ayrton Senna did not continue the session. his fastest time on friday however was enough for pole....

  • @Neilen91183 - thanks for the clarification Neilen

  • @Hotspur2001 that's ok buddy, youre welcome.

  • 8:50 there is my hero.

  • I'm glad that senna was the last of the list of deaths from the formula 1, I am a big fan of F1 and I do not like to see another pilot died, is a disgrace that you can not do anything about it but to take all precautions and not make the slightest mistake, that's all I can say

  • poor people

  • 4:36

    David Purley epic heroes.

  • @thebimboue a real hero indeed..........

  • So sad to see all the men who died driving in motor races. I guess they all died doing something they desperately wanted to do and we should respect them for that. RIP to them all.

  • the music !! so good.. who could tell me please~

  • R.I.P. racing HEROES..

  • such a shame all these men had to die in order for f1 to become safer. unbelievable how stupid people used to be

  • @joeyabbs87 With al due respect...but don't call em stupid..those guy's were brave and, in fact, didn't know any better....Whe tend to think that modern F1 is safe, but is it really? Is driving the fastest cars in the world ad and sometimes beyond its designed capability ever really gonna be safe?...no...

  • @Neilen91183 yeh i suppose your right. f1 is much safer these days but your right it can never be completely safe especially as the drivers head is still exposed. the marshal who was diving about on the montreal circuit the other day can also concider himself very lucky

  • @joeyabbs87 Glad you see my point. And indeed, that marshall was very very very lucky..And altough it looked kinda amateuristic, and it maybey even whas, it is human and always possible that in some sort of cruel way, fate desides that someone makes a very strange decision or makes a mistake, that ends human lives..especially at speeds of 200+ mph....Every F1 driver or Fan that thinks that fatal crashes is something of the past, will soon have a very rude wake up call....

  • @Neilen91183 yo when he said ''unbeliveable how stupid people used to be'' i hardly think he was talking about the drivers. stupid people were and still is, the F1 oficials. that require people to die in order to make things safer. aand like you said.. is it really safe?.... ps.. senna.. wish you hadnt died that day. Brazil misses you. a LOT,

  • @joeyabbs87 Nothing is really safe, nothing ever will be safe, even with modern tech, there will always be something that could kill, alls it take is a tiny slip up from a car (wether this is a bolt getting to luse or the wing falling off) its very unlikely but someone in f1 could die today, there driving 200mph cars on a narrow track with 24 other drivers, take lewis hamilton and kobayshis crash in spa i think it was, lewis could of easily been seriously hurt, racing is all about luck

  • rip all the drivers and also ayrton senna

  • Friend what name song s? Please!!

  • @Tanagushi

    Prince Negaafellaga - Introduction

  • Friend what name song s? Please!!

  • still clark was a f1 driver,he must have been included, whatever he ws an f1 driver died on track, whatevah car he was racing at that time, his life was 4 racing...

  • What is the name of the second song ... Congratulations for the video ... beautiful ... beautiful

  • williamson lost his head i think because he went on headfirst to the road

  • @replyzy That is no true..He did not lose his head..Hey died from smok einhalation and lack of oxygen..

After the crash, he was verry much alive..struggling to free himself..

  • @Neilen91183 yeaa sorry when i did some more research he didnt lost his headd cuz i think when david purley(F1 driver who stopped tto save Roger williamson) tried to save him,he coud hear roger williamson screaming for help!David Purley's got one big heart ;(

  • @Neilen91183 Agreed, he was calling out to David Purley to get him out.

  • @Neilen91183 You are quite correct. He was pleading with Dan Gurney to get him out, Dan did everything he could. I can't imagine how either of them felt.

  • @replyzy: The guy that lost his head was Helmutt Koinigg.

  • ooh... 8:45 is horrible!

  • Showing pictures of blood-stained corpses can hardly be considered a "tribute". A "tribute" would be something that focuses on achievements, personality traits, triumphs, highs and lows of the individuals concerned. I don't have an issue with the clip itself, it's a fact of racing, but it's not a "tribute". It simply shows how these people died.

  • Ayrton Senna greatest driver ever !

  • Comment removed

  • @TheZonda5002

The first song is Requiem for a dream by Clint Mansell,

    But I don't know the 2nd one.

  • Song?

  • It looks like a lot of these deaths could of been avoided if they had walls on the track. In the 60's in NASCAR they were not as safe as they are now but they had walls.

  • looks like Rindt and Von Trips crashed at the same spot?

  • Very sad, but all of those lads knew it could be them at any corner.

  • what about Alberto Ascari? He died when he competed in the early years of the F1

  • Jim Clark die at the warm up in hoceknheim, F-2. in 1968.

  • tastefully done, which is a rare thing on youtube. too many great drivers have lost their lives over the years, at least safety is now taken seriously. jackie stewart has said on many occasions that if you were an f1 driver when he was, and raced for as long as he did,8 seasons at f1, you stood a 3 in 5 chance of having been killed racing or testing. obviously back then the drivers raced in various formula while racing f1, but that's worse chance than if you were called up for either ww1 or ww2.

  • My Heroes! ;(

  • buen video!!! no veo a Alberto Ascari (Ferrari-Monza 1955)

  • roger williamson is the saddest crash in HISTORY!!! his friend gets out of his car to help save his friends life, hearing him scream burning to death with the car upside down while the rescue team doesn't show and spectators watching...sad day..

  • music matched well, im from the states and i still have great admiring of f1 racing. truly sad that f1 would push the cars to the limit on tracks that aren't for safety. R.I.P to all f1 drivers who have died it would be nice to update the video with born and death dates for an actual view of how old most of the drivers actually were...many were young...much respect for the making of this video and all the drivers who died for our entertainment.

  • [']

  • jo siffert R:I:P

  • The death of Roland Ratzenburger was highly overshadowed by that of Senna.

    All great losses.

  • amazing video 5

  • good job

  • Is that Peter Revson at 5:21?

  • Ayrton Senna is the best F1 pilot!

  • Here is what AKUNAKIMS said in Japanese:

'Probably, people who don't like to see such things won't be able to watch this, as it shows dead bodies and so on. But, as this is a proof of how race drivers can fight up to put their lives in danger, I think that people who really love F1 would like to watch it.'

  • RIP

  • where's alberto ascari?

  • @poussyledzep i was going to ask the same thing, but i think he died in a sports car event

  • 3:18 - how ironic: the Lotus 72 is visible in the picture of Piers Courage's fatal crash. Then comes Jochen Rindt's death - in that very car.

  • i did not see jim clark

  • @MsM0015 Jim Clark died in a F2 race at Hockenheim, not in a F1 car..Nevertheless a briljant driver..

  • @MsM0015 he didnt die driving an F1 car, he was driving an F2 car!

  • 8:16 its the stig!!!! (:-)

  • Well at least now the cars are getting a lot safer this is the biggest period of time without a death since the first death. So lefts just hope we won't see any more.

  • Yochen...His last face seems to be calm...

  • what's the name of this song ?

  • some of those images were really graphic.....but sadly this is the risks that all F1 drivers take every time they go out and do a race even to day....R.I.P. all of you

  • 8:18 the stigs dad. ashame that this accidents have happened.

  • name the

    music????

  • i'm a big F1 fan.Ayrton,Gillues R.I.P.Why they died?Why?fuuuuuuuuck!

  • what is the song ??

  • R.I.P

    Artyon Senna is not here

  • what about "Stefan Bellof "?? dead in Spa 1985 (was also a F1 driver, even if he died on "Eau Rouge" driving a porsche 996 on a GTs race).

  • I am charmed with this video segir aciendo videoes as this one i the people reminded people as Aytor senna Or of more Please maple tree mas videoss Thank you ^^

  • big men who wrote the history of car racing.....r.i.p

  • こういうの見たくない人は見れないだろうなあ。死体も出てくるし、でも、これもレーサーが命を賭けて戦った証だから、F1を本当に愛してる人には見てほしいと思う。

  • @AKUNAKIMS try to write englisch pppppleeeeeeasssseee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Sinmale1 Why the hell can't he write in Japanese? You think you are alone on this Internet thing?

  • Bristow had such a horrible death, being thrown from your car anf then being decapitated on barb wire is horrible

  • These are only drivers who died during races and only some of those who died during practice sessions...there is a lot of F1 drivers missing from here who died during testing or racing in other categories, biggest of which are Jim Clark (died during F2 race) and Bruce McLaren (died testing his CanAm car)

  • Thats absoluttley true.

Thanks for the comment anyway. ;-)

  • no worries here are a few more who died at F1 races, tests or practice sessions at GP's, lest we forget

    Chet Miller 1953

    Charles de Tornaco 1953

    Manny Ayulo 1955

    Eugenio Castellotti 1957

    Giulio Cabianca 1961

    Ricardo Rodríguez 1962

    Gary Hocking 1962

    Bob Anderson 1967

    Brian McGuire 1977

  • @Neilen91183 There are some pics I have NEVER seen published before, like the impact shot of Rindt and the same of Siffert.

  • @vivwritten Elio died in practice, Ratzenberger died in quali.

  • if i look this video, look at the names of the drivers, i realize that nearly everyone of them, would be a greater champion in todays F1 than any of those who drive today... people with charisma, talent...

  • i zieh mein hut vor den großartigen fahrern ... R.I.P.

  • RIP

  • The worst is that Petterson didn't die on the crash. It's because of complications during his stay at the hospital that it got worse. They said that he had fat embolism, due to an infection in his knees' wounds...

  • How the second song name please?

  • Gladiator Soundtrack (17) Now We Are Free

    by Hans Zimmer

  • Ayrton Senna was the best in the world, but he couldn't live to prove that...

  • he had allready proved it..

  • Songs : 1: lux aeterna - requiem for a dream

2: lisa gerrard - now we are free

  • Tom Pryce...the most brutal death in F1 R.I.P.

  • Hasn't the safety come a long way. Thanks for the great work on this.

  • R.I.P

  • This video is wonderful. The list shouldn't be so long. So many of them could have been brilliant drivers, in particular, Francois Cevert.

  • tragic, tragic, et´s hope senna will be the last one for ever ... whats the name of the song from the beginning till 5:42?

  • Lux Aeterna, but there is a million versions of it...

  • song from gladiator soundtrack final song !!!

  • tragic, let´s hope senna will be the last one for ever ...

  • Congratulations, wonderful video!!!

  • R.I.P

  • Good work... Some real forgotten heroes here.

  • i like very much this video because this pilots are very very big for me,incredible incredible

  • gille is honour every year about the time the canadian gp is and the track honours him too

  • David didn't die racing a f1 car.

Tough i agree david being a formidable person, he does not belong in the list.

    Thnx! ;-)

  • @Neilen91183, Purley died in 1985 in a plane crash.

  • @Neilen91183 guys, i exactly knew how Purley died

but i guess he is / was one of the greatest person ... just think on Zandvoort 1973 ...

he deserves it , anyway nice video

it's pretty respectable if there is kinda man who doesnt forget about the heroes of F1

  • @Djucky85 David purley didn't die in a formula 1 race, he died in 1985 in a stunt plane crash

  • @Djucky85 , to complete Neilen91183's sentence:

Purley died in a helicopter crash.

  • AYRTON SENNA! I MISS YOU.

  • #1 Clint Mansell - Requiem for a dream

#2 Lisa Gerrard - Now we are free

  • indeed. Thnx for answering. LOL

  • thank you

  • Formula 1 has lost a lot of good drivers. They died for their passion, the racing. RIP like they continue to rotate round where they are now

  • you forgot winkelhock und stefan bellof

  • Winkelhock and Bellof died not in Formula 1, but in racing accidents in sportcar

  • Correct.

Do not understand me wrong. Every driver in any race class who died earns the greatest respect. But if i where to include every driver who died in a crash...i'd have a hell of task to look forward to...

  • Do not understand you wrong or you will kill us?

  • extremely sad ...

  • thanks. great work

  • Nice video dude....whats the name of the song that plays in the background?

  • Wich one? lol

  • Gilles Villeneuve Greatest of all time

  • Indeed. Gilles was the greatest

  • Sorry, my mistake. Pedro Rodriguez de la Vega from Mexico was killed in Norisring Nüremberg on 11th July 1971. Wikipedia it to check it and perhaps include him in a future video. Thanks.

  • At 3:45 the dead driver looks like PEDRO RODRIGUEZ - died July 1971 (?) Please correct me if I got the date wrong. Thanks.

  • Nope, soory. But that's 100 % sure Jochen Rindt...;-)

  • Nice work.

  • Best video of the world^^

    echt geil gemacht n1

    AYRTON SENNA R.I.P

  • AYRTON SENNA 4 EVER!

  • F1 is much safer today as the races are slower due to the amount of bends they put in.

  • what's the name of the song at 6:00 ?! thx

  • thank you so much :)

  • It's by Lisa Gerrard and is called Now We Are Free, from the film Galdiator.

  • where is jim clark? why did you forgot the greatest?

r.i.p. for all who died in this sport including marshals and spectators

  • I didn'ty think I seen him in here. Great video though!

  • Altough Jim is one of the best all times, he didn't die racing an F1 car.

  • Jim Clark didnt die racing an F1 car. It was an F2 race that he didnt actually want to race in. tragic.

  • R.I.P all

  • Hey Neilen thanks for the info..cheers mate atb G
