  • @garrettcade12 i dont have a clue how to tell my parents im goth..

  • @garrettcade12 i dont either :(

  • @garrettcade12 Same, we need help D:

  • Don't be British.

  • im 13 turnin 14 on may 2nd. and when i told my dad i was bi he spanked me.... and i have been emo since then and i jus want my parents to be better parents i want to run away but i love them so i just stay here and deal with it.... i just dont know what to do anymore.

  • how can i ttell my parents im on narcottics??

  • @retroxgecko don't.

My friend did and he got beaten up.

  • Parents have no fucking idea sometimes

  • @iluvlattes Parents think that they know everything about their kids and how they should be!

  • i hate how adults think we think we know every thing when its the adults are the ones who think they are always rite

  • dude, all of the sudden when the lispy started screaming, i freaked out lol. but the video was good, and so true, so nice work =]

  • How did you get your Video onto the Entertainment Group? And any strategies for how you've gotten over 4000 Views?

  • whis I had the guts to say those things to my parent , but watching this helped me see that it's better to tell them sorry for not being more gratful rather than just being mad at them .... it opend my eyes in a crazy kind of way

  • Some parents are dicks.

  • that kid with the lisp is preety fucked up

  • These kids are spoiled brats. Gawd forbid they should actually get a job and pay their own way in life, huh?! "They cut me off and don't pay for my schooling." Well, tough shit, buddy! Welcome to life.

  • It's not that simple. You think it's a good thing for kids to be handed all they need and then suddenly cut-off? Humans are animals with animal brains. Treat a dog this way and people consider you cruel. Do it to a teenager and it's just "life". The problem is that so many parents are clueless. Ignorant. Deluded. Stupid. Especially the hardcore Christian ones. There need to be patterns of experience in child rearing. When your parents are harsh and unpredictable it makes "life" really hard.

  • This Sounds like Me When I Was A Teenager, And just About Every Other Teen I've Ever Heard, Blah Blah You Don't Have Cancer, The James Dean Act is played Out...Say Fuck You Asshole If it Makes You Feel Better, Move Foward Cause i Can Almost Guarentee You That You Haven't Seen The Wrst in Life And The Worst Will Probably Not Involve Your Parents!

  • Did you interview their parents?

  • No, but I did show it to some of their parents. Most of them were pretty shocked and couldn't believe it wasn't scripted...

  • @aqua212 wouldnt that have compromised the experiment? I mean if you didn't tell the kids that you were going to show their parents, or at least tell the ones who's parents you DID show, then wouldnt having lied to your "specimens"( for lack of a better term) have compromised your results?

  • its interesting that the only group interviewed are the angsty ones

  • we are witnessing the breakdown of the nuclear family.

  • If you believe that, you need to read some history. These stories are as old as the history of humans themselves.

  • The accents are interesting - where are these kids from?

  • Thank you very much for this video! Instead of making another one of all these mediocre spoofs and pranks, you really put some thought into this! Keep up the good work! I really would like to see more of that stuff!!

  • All of you like to complain and give crappy reviews. Read between the lines and don't get distracted by technicalities. I too know how these people feel. I'd like to say to the parents on here, that you should listen to your kids, yes all of them and realise that sometimes they are angry because of issues they have unrelated to you, and other times because you suck at parenting. Some parents are old farts and some children are spoilt brats. The easiest thing to do is to blame someone else.

  • I liked this a lot. Good work. There is a diversity in opinions and situations, while there are common themses in each testimony. Very well edited. I was occasionally irked by the sound obviously not meshing with the gestures and body language of the speaker, but that is just a minor criticism. Very very interesting. And yes, I agree that doing later interviews would be incredibly interesting.

  • Gonna be totally honest, directed at the producer:

Your production values are poor. I'm sorry to say, but the variation in levels and the subtle room echo as well as the click between edits (it's somewhat subtle) are very distracting.

    THAT SAID:

GREAT premise. Really, really good premise. You're a good documentary maker and we need more people like you - use this stuff to try and gather up funding and stuff, and you'll be set. I'll be keeping an eye on you.

  • I'll be looking for your polished vids here on YouTube.

  • Considering I'm working with a professional production company, I can't upload them due to copyright issues. Outside of work I don't own my own pro or pro-sumer camera, so it's not worth my time producing independent productions.

Hey, instead of challenging me, how about you just let the guy take constructive criticism? How 'bout it, eh slugger?

  • If they were constructive.

    "Your production values are poor."

This isn't constructive criticism. This is a value judgement.

"Variation in levels and the subtle room echo..."

Translation: your camera and equipment aren't up to the production standards that I think you should be using.

I think constructive criticism is great. I think criticism for the sake of inflating one's own ego sucks. Especially in a forum such as YouTube.

  • Oh yeah man, let me tell you. Posting a comment on YouTube inflates my ego like nothing else. Seriously, telling people things on the internet makes me feel GOOD.

  • It would be interesting to track these people and hear what they have to say about their parents in twenty years. I'd love to watch this group of people as they become parents.

    Interesting piece Antonio. Nice work.

    Aloha
