I get what he's saying. People who have so much potential just slack off in school and are just finewith running a burger joint until retirement, even though if they had applied themselves they could have been multimillionaires.
This ignorant guy is obviously trying to imply that people fail through negative thinking.
Well let me tell you something through my own experiences, Positive thinking is just as bad as Negative thinking! i myself failed at one of my goals in life through positive thinking but the failure didnt turn me into a negative thinking person.
"Positive thinking is just as bad as Negative thinking!" You sound truly truly stupid. Someone like you should have permission to speak before doing so.
Exactly WHAT is it that qualifies him as "ignorant"? If he is ignorant then so are the multitudes who listen to him including the major corps who pay him big money to speak to their staff. The truth is that it is YOU who are "ignorant" as evidenced by your "ignorant" statement "Positive thinking is just as bad as negative thinking". Dude, you 'failed' because you are a FAILURE and too ignorant to listen to the people who can help you.
To me, this man talks a lot of sense. We live once. Ambition in that sense is not a bad thing. Do what you want and can do- provided it doesn't hurt others to the best of your conscience. A little procrastination can be useful for reflection. Thats my experience so far anyway.
Les Brown is my hero, mentor and considered a REAL friend. i HAVE KNOWN PEOPLE FOR MUCH LONGER AND HAVE YET TO EXPERIENCE THIS SORT OF LIFECHANGING TRUTH!
Now because of him and God's grand design I am a motivational speaker and I am currently seeking 5,000 people who are ready to FINALLY learn to read, thereby gaining thier LIVES BACK! Thak you Les!
Buy Candy must be one of the people that could use some "life coaching". How is none of your business and instead of disecting do something with yourself.
In the chronic illness world, this applies. We notice that the patients that do well are the ones that listen to motivational material, have positive attitudes, and surround their with positive people. The patients that do not do well are usually negative or have a negative caregiver or medical team. Sheila Shaw has several chronic illnesses and has inspired thousands of patients to reclaim their lives and take back control! She listens to Les to help give her power to empower others
Wow... that last sentence he said was so powerful. Most people fail in life not because they aim to high and miss most people fail in life because they aim to low and hit!! And some don't aim at all....
I love Les Brown!!!!!!!!!!!

it's not what you think in your mind that allows you to fail, it's the actions you go about that leaves you stuck in your own tracks...

He crosses over the podium 4 times.
He holds his microfone with his left hand, gesticulates with his right.
Dressed: Red Tie, Blue Shirt, Black Suit. (very formal)
Tone: 01:07-"None of your business" sounded strangely out of character.
Crowd: observable at 11 seconds,a lot(?) of people, friendly. (where was this filmed?)
